User roles

I am a new user to OpenGoo and I love it. I am confused about the user roles. From project to project, company to company, user roles are different. Are there some 'generic' user roles I could use as a guide? Are the user roles sort of like the tags --- once I add one, it becomes available?

You mean the Role field in contacts or roles for users?

In the second case, this will change rather soon, and there will be three clearly defined roles: Administrator (owner company users that are marked as administrators), Normal User (owner company users), External User (or Client User) (users from client companies), and depending on the user's category is which permissions he will be able to have.
