When uploading a file by clicking on the 'add file' button things work as expected. When changing the filename, you have to click twice before the upload starts.

This is a known issue. I think it was solved for 1.2. This is because when you change the name of a file the GUI asks the server whether there is already a file with that name. This check is done when the filename text field loses focus, so if the cursor is at that text field and you click the submit button, the check is done rather than the submit.
