importing from MS Outlook
« on: June 01, 2010, 09:45:54 pm »
I'm thinking about taking the many years of files from some of our Outlook users, and importing them into FengOffice (openGoo). Since openGoo doesn't support folders in the same way that Outlook does, the export/import utiliyu must be able to take the folders and allow us to assign each folder to a workspace.

Has anyone created a tool, or know of a tool that can do this wonderful thing?

Thanks.

I"m not aware of such a thing, but if it does exist perhaps someone will post their tool or technique.

I worked out today that it is possible by connecting Outlook to a new IMAP account, and the copying the folders to the new IMAP account.

The problem is now that Feng Office doesn't have a true IMAP client. Apparently, it doesn't speak to a IMAP service bi-directionally.  :(

Unluckily, you are right.
