1.6.2 Email CC contacts not receiveing mails
« on: May 26, 2010, 12:32:30 pm »
I compose a mail and if the CC line is a contact they do not get the mail. If I type in an email manually it works. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong that i may need to configure otherwise?

I can put the contact on the to line and they get it, just if the contact is on the cc line.

If this is a bug anyone know what area of the code to look for to fix it?

Hasn't been reported before. But we'll take a look at this for 1.7.

I have reported this or a similar problem several months before.

In some cases using one or more of the proposed mail-adresses in the cc- or bcc-line the address is preceded by a space like this: < myname@mydomain.tld> during the sending-process.

I have this problem on my own and a customers installation, both on the same server (SuSE Linux 11.x, Plesk 9.1, qmail, PHP 5.2.9, mySQL 5.0.51)

Now I do remember the report with spaces. We'll investigate.

I noticed you said it happens in some cases.

Were you able to determine which cases?
Is it when you CC certain people, or certain number of people? Any pattern to try to reproduce the bug?

That is odd as we also use '.' in middle of our emails and have no problems with it. Anyway, a new release has been made today which corrects a lot of things in the email module, so you may want to try it out

Best regards,
Francisco
