Group Users and Subscribers Bug - Version 1.6.2

Loving this app... however, I'm finding a few bugs that I will search for and post here:

in firefox at least, clicking a user to check / uncheck them when adding to a group or as subscriber to something, is not working.  Seems to be an issue with checkUser function in og javascript.  Its not throwing any errors, but the value is always 'null'

if its a quick fix, perhaps you can post the code snippet here so we don't have to wait for the next release?

experiencing exactly the same problem, can't handle members of new groups. every time I create a new group every user is in it, whether I check or uncheck him.

Is it still happening in 1.7 ?

I can't tell whether it's happening in 1.7 or not. I'm running 1.6.2 as this is the latest stable version. Since I need to implement a lot of groups in the near future, I'd be very happy if this issue could be fixed.
