[1.6.2] Event Invites
« on: February 15, 2010, 06:11:12 pm »
I have a slight problem with event invites.

When I create an event and invite people too it to invite emails go out OK but when I go back to the event descriptions it says:

"Invitations: No invitations were sent to this event"

However if I set the calender view to another user it shows their invite status fine.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi!
I have the same problem and that's a bit confused for the users because it's not easy to know who's going to the event.

Is there a solution for this error?

Thank you!

Same problem here, version 1.6.2 as well.

Invitation e-mails are sent OK, however event information displays "No invitations were sent to this event".

Hi,

Are the invited user able to view that event?

In my specific case, yes. They have read & write permissions over the events in that workspace. Plus, they are subscribed to that event.

The "modus operandi" was the following. When creating the event, only user U1 was Subscribed and users U2 to UN were Invited (with "subscribe invited people" option activated).

In the end N+1 users got subscribed (me, U1, and U2 - UN), which is as expected (no problem there).

Update: another user created an event on a workspace and the list of invited people apeared!

The main difference I can see is that this workspace is at a higher "hiearquical" position, like so:

+ All
|_Workspace1  <-------- Invited people list appears
|__Workspace1_1
|__Workspace1_2 <--- Invited people list does not appear
(...)
|__Workspace1_n
|_Workspace2
|__Workspace2_1
|___Workspace2_1_1 <--- does not appear as well (by the way)
(...)

Can it be that it only appears for "top" workspaces and not for "sub" workspaces?

i had the same problem when a user has rights for a workspace over a group.

when the group (in which the user is) has read/write rights, the event can be created, invitations are sent and the state is "Invitations: No invitations were sent to this event".

when i give the read/write rights to the user directly, the states are visible!

but i have another problem: when a user ack. an event, 3 ! reply mails were sent.

Update: if the event is only assigned to a "sub-workspace" the list of invited people does not appear. But, if we edit the event and add in a "top" workspace (keeping the sub-workspace that is already there), the list appears!

I'm growing more confident that this "bug" has to do with the hierarquical position of the workspace the event is assigned to.

I've confirmed that if you give permissions to a user and not to a group in a workplace, you will view the assistants to an event.
