Making Notes more Thread-like
« on: March 24, 2011, 12:00:28 am »
While Notes are great, I feel like the general interface is way cluttered with extra information and difficult formatting. Having messed around on a bunch of different project management systems I feel like having the Notes section be more discussion-based threads would be much more effective. Something like Google Wave would be great, but can get overly complicated. An easy and basic back and forth conversation with details hidden unless otherwise requested would be helpful.

Basically, all the information is already there, it just needs to be arranged in a way that's easier to follow. Maybe others use it in a different way than I, but I use it mostly for discussion and conversation. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Thanks!

There are many discussions here about having a forum in Feng Office.

But there isn't any solution.

I'm using snippets to distinguish what note is what. I do this with tasks and everything else as well actually because I think every section should have an OPTION to create a thread like view of the content.

Anyway right now I'm using this in titles: [PROJECT][TASK][LOGIN][DISCUSSION][EMAIL] etc.

I am not sure I understand the ideas.

Could you share some mockups? Screenshots?

Thanks!
