Not showing "Client users" Time on tasks
« on: July 10, 2009, 11:04:40 pm »
Hi Everyone,

Is it possible to have "Client-users" not see the "Object time slots" under tasks?

We sometimes charge a flat rate for certain projects and in those cases
I would like to keep track of the time within tasks, but for internal purpose. The client shouldn't see the hours.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't find anything that says "object time slots", only start date, due date and time estimate. Could you clarify please? I'm looking in Tasks.

Click on a task.

"Object time slots" is located between "Completed tasks" and "Post Comment"

It is the "start work" and "add work" buttons. When you use them. The time spent on the project is listed there for all users to see.

Let me know if you still can't find it.

Thanks.

Ahhhh I don't use the timer in tasks, therefore I never see this.

It looks to me like you can't readily prevent clients (who can see this workspace) from seeing that. If you know how to code, you could probably come up with a workaround, otherwise you could post a feature request.

What you are saying makes sense to me, but permissions are not yet granular enough.
