NO data/dashboard after logging in
« on: February 24, 2016, 09:45:46 pm »
When I log in to my feng office, it spins and says loading like normal but then just has the feng office banner across the top with the settings wheel to log out..under that just a blank white screen and it won't let me click on the settings wheel - nothing happens. my hosting tech support said it is timing out while loading, and they'd like to restore it to the last working date, but that was just the day before yesterday and it always says "restore failed"

any ideas?

Hello,

Thank you for your patience!

We have reviewed your case in details. Due to the recent release of Mysql 5.6.x we had to upgrade our shared hosting servers Mysql service from 5.5.x to 5.6.x..

Currently your server is using Mysql version:

5.6.28

Based on the application's requirements it works with Mysql 5.x, which means that Mysql 5.6 should not be a problem for it. Still, while accessing your admin area we can see the following errors saved in the cache/log.php file:

Code:
Session "default" started at 2016-02-25T09:34:13+0000
#1 ERROR: Error: mysql_pconnect(): The mysql extension is deprecated and will be removed in the future: use mysqli or PDO instead in '/home/vaudeint/public_html/rosegarden/projectmanager/environment/library/database/adapters/MysqlDBAdapter.class.php' on line 28 (error code: 8192)
Time since start: 0.061499118804932 seconds

Unfortunately the Feng Office does not seem to support Mysql 5.6.x properly and there is no way for us to revert to the old Mysql server version. The solution that we can suggest you in this case is to contact the developers of the application and ask them to provide you with an upgrade that would work properly with Mysql 5.6.x.

Best Regards,

Hi fairchylde,

I am sorry to hear this  :(

We have cases in which we use mysql 5.6 and it works correctly.

Our developers can work on fixing this as a support service. However, this services are only provided to subscribed users.

Following this link, you will find more information on the Feng Office editions and subscription plans:

http://www.fengoffice.com/web/pricing_onsite.php

As part of the service, we also offer the migration of the installations to our servers. The advantage of this is that we can spot these kind of issues instantly and our developers can work on them directly.

Feel free to contact us at contact@fengoffice.com if you have any questions.

Best regards,
Natalia.
