encoding problem with email
« on: June 13, 2009, 11:36:20 pm »
I just installed opengoo on my hosting server and it's great, everything works fine, except for the email.

I was able to set up my email account and download emails without any problems, but when I received emails which were written in Korean, the characters showed up all garbled up.

Is there any way to fix this?/

Thanks

One thing I noticed is that emails from a sender who uses his Gmail account to send an email to me which has Korean characters in the message displays Korean correctly on Opengoo, but with the sender who uses Outlook to send the email in Korean, when Opengoo downloads the emails, the Korean character in the email is totally unreadable.

Wonder if there is a fix for this?!  ???

Ok, seem to have resolved this issue.

Problem was with emails being sent out from Outlook, and its encoding setting. Emails were received perfectly fine when we changed Outlook encoding setting to UTF-8.

Thanks!  ;D
