I use php 5.3 without issue - it may be an issue with the particular settings available on your hosts installed version of php.  It sounds like you are on a shared host, and that is probably not the best implementation area for a production installation.

Can you provide a link to your php.ini file, or post the output here?   We will start there, and then we may have to go through server logs.  But, start here first.

On another note, I use Linode to host feng - and it suits it quite well, 2GB of RAM being the main plus.

:( same issue here. I updated to 2.6, tried to add a workspace but it didn't appear anywhere. The FO message was "successfully added ... " though.
The log file shows the following:
#1 ERROR: Error: chmod(): Operation not permitted in '/srv/www/htdocs/fengoffice/environment/classes/AutoLoader.class.php' on line 148 (error code: 2)
I don't know if the message is related to this issue.

Using a fresh installation, this problem doesn't exist.

I found out that this issue is probably not FO related. We installed FO 2.6.1 on a CentOS 6.5 server, adjusted the configuration file and imported the database. FengOffice is working now without the mentioned issue(s). I can add workspaces and tags. Even another problem I had earlier (HTML documents couldn't be saved) disappeared and no code modification was necessary. So, I guess it has to do with anything that works different or is configured in a different way in OpenSUSE compared to CentOS.
The only error I had was php-mbstring related which I could solve by installing that package.

Hmm sounds like permissions issues in the cache folder.
Have you looked into that? And have you recreated the autoloader file?

Best regards,
Francisco

Hi everyone

Cannot create a workspace. Feng Office says it is created but there is nothing created. We have made many attempts to try and resolve this issue with server engineers without any solution. We have checked the cache folder permission, recreated autoloader...no luck.

Any assistance will be appreciated

Thx
Peter

Hi everyone

Just some feedback. To confirm, same servers (3 different servers):

1.) all fengoffice 2.6 and 2.6.1 installs cannot add workspaces or tags

2.) all fengoffice 2.5.1.1, 2.5.1.2-4 installs can add workspaces or tags

any suggestions?
