Reporting

Hi there

Just installed opengoo and I am liking it a lot.

A couple of quick questions:
1. Is there a reporting tool built in or something that I can get from a third party? I would like especially to generate calendar reports and task/milestone reports.

2.  Can I somehow also see the completed/closed milestone in the caledar (with a different marker/color). This will be helpful as it will help to see what tasks were done on a particular date in the past.

Answers:
1. Yes there is one. It will debut with the next release, due this week!

2. It is not implemented, but it should be easy to hack it. Let us know if you try this.

Hack it? How do i hack it?

That is geek slang for coding. 

Basically I meant that, if you have some PHP coding knowledge, you could change the code in your installation.

My recommendation: Wait till next week and upgrade to version 0.9 .

I've got the 0.9 betasite running, and see the Reports tab, but am unable to see any information (stats, activity, etc.).  Is it still incomplete, or is it more for tasks instead of other items?

It is still incomplete, but I doubt much more will make it to 1.0.

The tasks/time report is looking sweet though, don't you think? 

What we intended with this first report is to present an example and get people doing their own reports, as we haven't found the need/designed more reports.

We could have an 'OpenGoo Next Report Contest' if we get enough contest submissions.

Submissions should include a comprehensible UI design, at the very least.

What do you think?

It is looking good so far.  I'll add in some tasks and check that end out.  Is the plan just to spit out raw data for stats/etc., or perhaps use something a little fancier, such as jpgraph?
