Feng Office 2.2.1 installation error - can't install

I have tried several times to install the new Feng Office 2.2.1 on a Windows Server. The first three steps seem to work fine but at step 4 I get this:

Step 4: Finish
Installation process:
Database connection has been established successfully
InnoDB storage engine is supported
Failed to import database construction. MySQL said: Can't create table 'kdcportal.fo_administration_tools' (errno: 121)

All the forum topics relate to upgrades, this is a new install. What is wrong? How do I make this work?

Well, I deleted everything and started over. Changed the sql-mode to MYSQL40 as suggested in a post I saw and now I get a little further but still I get an error:

Failed to import initial data. MySQL said: Data truncated for column 'type' at row 7

So now what? It would seem from the posts I have read that this new release is full of bugs and doesn't actually work. Is this really true?

Fortunately for me I am a software developer. I wasn't getting any assistance on this forum so I picked my way through the bugs in the code and fixed the installation scripts. I now have a successful install. Hooray!
