my litle 1st questions for future.
« on: September 25, 2008, 12:25:34 pm »
Hello,
I'm a new user of opengoo, and i'm french.

I want to know if you will implement one open office format support ?

For the message section, is it possible to add imap system ?

For future releases do you think to add RSS reader

My contribution :
How can I translate opengoo in french and where miust I send the langages modifications.

Thanks.

Open Office format support is in the roadmap, the first integration will be through spreadsheets.
An RSS reader is also planned, but work has not been started.
Imap support is on its way, but definitely not for version 0.9.
Sorry, but no dates yet.

If you wish to translate, send the translated files (stored in /languages) to contact@opengoo.org . Or, if you wish, email us for more instructions.
Thanks,
Marcos

Hello,
Thank for all this information.
I use Opengoo to manage my own web project alone or with friends.
I'll look to translate the files and send them to you.

That's a great job you made !!

Thanks

hello,
I tried to replace the HTML code with de caracters é, è, à but nothing works.
Do you have one idea ?

The problem sentences in administration.php :

'administration tool name test_mail_settings' => 'Test paramèetres e-mail',

'file storage file system' => 'Système de fichiers',
'file storage mysql' => 'Base de données (MySQL)',

Hello RV,
I am really glad to hear you are working on the translation.
About your questions: Characters in language files should be encoded in UTF8, this means that you do not need to replace characters with their HTML representation, you just need to save the file in UTF8 format.

About the weeks starting on Monday, we are sorry to say it is not supported yet. I'll add it as a feature request.

Regarding time zones, you can choose the time zone for every company and user you enter into the system. It is not an overall system parameter, because you could have companies in different time zones.

Thanks again for all of your work.
Marcos

Hello,
OK UTF8 works. I had occidental and not UTF8.
Stay to be translated :
errors.php
lang.js
messages.php
project_interface.php
site_interface.php

I continue the translation.
Most of countries have week ho began sunday or monday, but for some application it is glad to change it to one other tay, so in the requirement doesn't just make one or other but one combo with all days of the week.
  ;D

For timezone I finded where to change it.

In some other scripts the langage file contain the format (UTF8) then for Russian or arabic they use other standarts.

The target is the translation, so, I hope we could easily merge the job, i've got already merge your errors.php in my pack.  :)

Marcos, I found that the dashboard title wasn't in the language definition.
File : opengoo/application/views/dashboard/index.php
<td colspan=2 rowspan=2 class="dashHeader"><div class="dashTitle">Upcoming events, milestones and tasks</div></td>

I've still problem to integrate my translation of calendar inside the "pick a date" bloc. I've made a quick translation in the Reece Cal mashup. Plus some die messages are hardcoded. Any ideas ?

Thx, and sorry again for my poor english, i'm a frenchy too  ;D

Thanks to all the French amis for your work!

Your English is very good, but if we get a couple of more French community members it might be time a good idea to do a French forum.
