Fatal Error: escapeValue() close() DB.class.php line 294 75

I'm using fengoffice 1.7.3.1 on my contracted server.
When I install it, and run it for the first time, sometimes appears this:

Fatal error: Call to a member function escapeValue() on a non-object in /usr/home/MY_URL/web/gestio/environment/library/database/DB.class.php on line 294

Fatal error: Call to a member function close() on a non-object in /usr/home/MY_URL/web/gestio/environment/library/database/DB.class.php on line 75

Other times everything is ok and when I save something or change the applications appears again.

When this occurs I can't do anything...

Can you give me the answer to solve it?

This is as though as there is a problem with your database connection. You should check everything is all right with the connection by checking your hosting settings, plus I would also suggest checking your log.php file for futher details. That way you may know more information about the issue.

I am receiving this same error. I upgraded from 1.7.3 to 1.7.5

The upgrade went 'perfect' with no errors, however, when i clicked the link to go back to Feng Office I get the error

Never mind!

I deleted all of the old files off of the server and re-uploaded the new files and now all is well.

This seems to solve a lot of issues and I keep forgetting to do this, rather than simply  overwriting the files.
