Using OpenGoo as an easy CRM?
« on: April 06, 2009, 01:51:54 pm »
Hello,

I want to use OpenGoo as an easy CRM application. Since OpenGoo isn't really a CRM I wonder if it is possible to use it as a CRM even though.

I don't need really much features but I need a good Contact Management and Contact Activity Management like seen in ACT. The Contact Management should include a Task/Time Management to get alarmed when to call a contact and so on. There should be an activity log/notes like in ACT regarding the contacts.

Maybe the developers of OpenGoo could answer this question.

Thank you,

Karl

At Feng Office we use OpenGoo as our -simple- CRM. Also, many customers use it as a CRM as well.

We basically define a Workspace for each customer. We group customers in parent workspaces for regions and for company size (our most relevant categories).

We schedule events for customer calls. OpenGoo now actively reminds you of upcoming scheduled events.

All e-mail is classified into the corresponding customer WS.

Hi Karl.

Not many news feature-wise in soon coming 1.7.0.

We are seeing more Customer-based use cases though.

I am confident there will be more interesting features in this are in the next major release.

Yes, but only ideas. Nothing I would venture to publish at the most probable risk of being far far off.  :D

BTW, congrats to Germany for joining us on the Round of 16 at the world cup!  ;D
