Email account setup
« on: September 13, 2008, 05:05:39 am »
I'm trying to set up an email account in opengoo with no positive result so far.
After creating 'successful' an account and asking 'check mail accounts' I get this error:

Error
Email retrieval complete: 0 emails received.<br/><br/>Error checking account 'im': There is no session matching this name (null for default session): NULL

Is there some more information to find in a log or debug mode? Furthermore it's not clear to me if the system uses IMAP or POP account to connect to the mail server.

Hope somebody can help,
Ivo.

Hello ivomans,
the system uses only POP3 for now (it will be clearer on next release).
It seems like the account is being checked but there is a logging error after that.

Debug mode can be set to true in config.php file (located in config folder). Just setting debug to true should solve the logging problem.

If you wish to see the log, it is called log.php and lcoated inside the cache folder.

Marcos,

Thanks for your answer.
My server supports IMAP only, so that must be the reason for this error. Since our organisation relies heavily on IMAP I think introducing Opengoo to my co-workers is a bit too early now.

Regards, Ivo.

Sad to hear that Ivo ...
but we are planning to add IMAP support before the end of this year.
