Has there been any update on this?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Alvaro,

That worked fine on both issues - it even picked up both e-mail addresses.

Feng is suddenly much more useful for us :)

Many thanks,
Andy

Perhaps increase your PHP's memory limit in php.ini?  16MB isn't a lot for a large application like Feng Office.

Thanks for the update.  My ContactController.class.php file only has 1719 lines.

I'm running 1.5.3 because I've now got the commercial version (on-site) installed and I don't think you've released 1.6 for commercial users yet.

Is it best to wait until you release 1.6 or can you tell me which lines they are in 1.5.3?

Many thanks,
Andy

On a similar subject, I archived a couple of document objects in the latest 1.6 stable version and got the error: "Missing lang: success archive files" although the files did archive successfully.

There is an error in your "Direct Download" link on the Community > Downloads page.

The link in question is:

http://www.fengoffice.com/web/community/LATEST_STABLE_VERSION_URL

The download is still available using the "Older Files" link and browsing to 1.6.

Do you know when the OpenGoo application will be re-branded like the website has?

Older versions / Bug in contact import
« on: December 15, 2009, 07:28:29 pm »
Opengoo 1.6, I've just tried importing a vCard file created using Apple's Address Book application, containing multiple contacts.

It appears that only the second e-mail address is importing.

For example in my own contact, I have the following in the vCard file:

EMAIL;type=INTERNET;type=HOME;type=pref:me@address1.com
EMAIL;type=INTERNET;type=WORK:me@address2.com

Opengoo however only associates "me@address2.com" with the new contact.

Another of my contacts has two HOME e-mails, and again only the second one is registering on his contact.

Another slight bug is that one of the address lines spans 2 lines in Apple's application, and is thus separated with a "\n" character, but Opengoo appears to ignore this and includes it as part of the address text.

item1.ADR;type=HOME;type=pref:;;1 A Street\nA Locality;A Town;A County;POST CODE;United Kingdom

I know Opengoo doesn't support multiple lines in the address fields, so my suggestion would be to either convert the "\n" to a space to get:

A Street A Locality
A Town
A County
POST CODE

or ignore everything after the character anyway as it's secondary none important data - i.e.

A Street
A Town
A County
POST CODE

is just as legal an address as

A Street
A Locality
A Town
A County
POST CODE

Older versions / Bug in iCal import
« on: December 15, 2009, 06:56:03 pm »
I've just done a clean install of Opengoo 1.6, and tried to import an iCal file created using Apple OS X's iCal application.

There are a couple of bugs in the import procedure - I've got a recurring appointment for my work from 8.30am-5pm Monday-Thursday every week, and another for 8.30am-4pm on every Friday.

1. Opengoo imports an appointment every Monday from 9.30am-6pm and one every Friday from 9.30am-5pm.

The file does contain the TZID of Europe/London and I believe this is set the same on my server, but I cannot get on at the moment to verify it.

2. There are a number of "exception" dates, such as 28th Dec-1st Jan (Christmas week) which are in the file as "EXDATE" but Opengoo is not using these and sticking the recurrence in anyway.

I'm happy to PM the iCal file to someone but I'd rather not put it up for public viewing as it's my personal calendar.

PS. This is on PHP 5.2.10, MySQL 5.1.37 on an Apache 2.2.14 Solaris server.

Many thanks,
Andy

1.2 / Re: Changing date format in 1.2.0.1
« on: March 04, 2009, 08:22:25 pm »
This has changed a little in 1.2.1, however it always shows the date in American format in the date picker - e.g. editing an appointment on 6th March 2009 shows as 03/06/2009 in the picker.

Then when you open the date picker, it selects "3rd June 2009", which is technically correct, as 03/06/2009 in British is 3rd June!

However when an appointment is created/edited, the date format needs to write to the picker's field in British.

Ah yes, that's true, India I think is also popular for this.

Perhaps have this determined by a config option?  Or a quick link on the Contact page next to the Fore/Surname fields that switches the 2 values?

1.2 / Exported data in wrong fields
« on: February 22, 2009, 11:54:57 am »
I've just attempted an export of my company data for the first time and noticed an issue: the data is out of line with the headers.  e.g. Take the following company:

Quote
Name,Address,Address 2,City,State,Zipcode,Country,Phone,Fax,Email address,Homepage
Lloyds TSB,,http://www.lloydstsb.com,3 Market Place,,Cannock,Staffordshire,WS11 1BD,uk,08450700365,01543504824

  • "Address" is blank, when this should be "3 Market Place"
  • "Address2" holds the "Homepage field"
  • "City" holds the "Address" field
  • "State" holds the "Address2" field
  • "Zipcode" holds the "City" field
  • "Country" holds the "State" field

... etc.  I think the 2 fields after the company name should be at the end as "Email" is blank in this record of mine.

To the developers:

How about splitting the display name field by a space?

So "Andy Shellam" in display name becomes "Andy" (forename) and "Shellam" (surname) in the contact data.

But like "Billy Bob Thornton" could become "Billy" (forename) and "Thornton" (surname), leaving the middle name "Bob" in the display name only.

That's if I've understood Karl's issue correctly.

« on: February 21, 2009, 11:55:32 am »
That was the post I was following when I made the changes, as I explained in my original post.

The date does display in the new format perfectly fine, and even lets me create appointments with the correct format, but when editing an appointment, the date is well off.

Installation problems / Re: Call to undefined function mb_substr()
« on: February 20, 2009, 09:08:15 am »
I got this also, you need to recompile your PHP installation, adding the --enable-mbstring flag (if you're running Unix.)  If you're running Windows I think you just need to uncomment the php_mbstring.dll line in your INI file.

I think the mb_* functions are for localisation.

1.2 / Changing date format in 1.2.0.1
« on: February 19, 2009, 06:28:36 am »
I've upgraded to 1.2.0.1 and was hoping this had been fixed, but it hasn't  :(

In a previous post on these forums, someone advised to make the following changes to allow the dates to be displayed in British (dd/mm/yyyy) :

- in language/en_us/lang.js change the date format and date format alternatives
- in language/en_us/general.php change the date format and date format description

I've made these changes, which do display perfectly, and I can add an appointment in my calendar on the correct date (e.g. 17/02/2009) but when I edit an appointment, the date is far in advance - e.g. 02/05/2010.
