How To's / Quoted text when replying to email

Hi all

When I am replying to an email, I cannot add a paragraph to the quoted text without the added paragraph being formatted as quoted.

This makes it hard to answer each point in the original email.

BTW - is it possible to search this forum - I will probably see a 'search' button as soon as I hit post ....

Who hoo! I had been looking at some hacks to do this but had not had time to try it out. This is cool. Can't wait to try it out.

How To's / Changing a client into a user

Greetings,

Is there any way to change a client into a user - and then back again.

If you have a client, and then start a project, it would be good to change them into a user without having to copy all the info over. When the project is over, they could be converted back to a client.

Development / Plugins?

Hi - I have been seeing a few references to plugins that are being developed, but I cannot find any plugin listing or download area. Or documentation on how to write plugins :-)

Is there a place for plugins?

1.3-beta / Email -> View -> Unclassified -> Account name does not display any mail

Going to email, and selecting View -> Unclassified -> <mail account> shows no email even though there are unclassified emails.

Also - a View -> Unclassified -> All option would be good.

1.3-beta / Dashboard Calendar Date Problem

Greetings,

On the Dashboard, the calendar panel appears to select the day using the UTC time, not the user or system time.

I am in New Zealand (UTC+12). In the morning the Calendar panel on the dashbord has yesterdays date highlighted. After mid-day, it has todays date highlighted.

The Calendar pages highlight the correct day.

Also, I cannot find where I change the date format for the Calendars Week display.

I have changed the Day format in the languages/<language>/calander.php and the lang.js file, but cannot see the settings for the week page.

1.3-beta / Overview

On the overview page, editing the description options has no effect. The Description textarea text is not displayed, and selecting 'No' for Display on Workspace has no effect.

On the Overview page, Display as list, it is impossible to open emails that have no 'Subject' line. (I just recieved it - I did not send it). They can be opened by going to email and clicking on the sender.

Installation problems / 1.2.1->1.3 beta Mail module Query failed with message 'Unknown column 'content_f

Hi - upgraded from 1.2 rc2 - 1.2.0.1 -> 1.2.1 -> 1.3 beta.

I did a quick test of the intermediate steps, and they seemed okay.

With version 1.3 beta I am getting the following error in the mail module:

Query failed with message 'Unknown column 'content_file_id' in 'field list''

 SELECT `id`, `account_id`, `uid`, `from`, `from_name`, `to`, `date`, `sent_date`, `subject`, `content`, `body_plain`, `body_html`, `has_attachments`, `size`, `state`, `is_deleted`, `is_shared`, `is_private`, `created_on`, `created_by_id`, `trashed_on`, `trashed_by_id`, `imap_folder_name`, `account_email`, `content_file_id` FROM `og_mail_contents` WHERE `id` = '173'


I have had a look at the file db_migration/chinchulin.php and all the other columns to be added seem to have been added.

I thought chinchulin.php was the latest - seem to be a later file. Lovely names - but not helpful. I mean I can't even remember if I am on Gutsy or Heron (Kubuntu 8.10).

Anyway - I will try to add the table and hope it does not get populated with anything :-)

Feng Office 1 / Timezones inaccurate

Hi - setting the timezone for a country is a bit erratic. Any time zone over GMT +9 gets set to GMT -12.

In the database, the timezone gets set to 9 for GMT +9, and 9.9 for GMT +12 (or/and GMT -12 - which is how it is displayed)

How To's / Trash

I am having a problem with the Trash. I have moved some email to the trash. When I am in the All workspace -> Overview, Unread email block shows the trashed email. This is the only place I can see these emails - if I click on the Trash psudo-workspace, I do not see any email entries anywhere. To delete them, I need to open each one from the overview page, then click Delete.

I have also added some contacts and companies to the trash. When I am in the All workspace, and click the Trash psuedo-workspace, one company shows up. This company cannot be deleted. (actually I notice it is gone now). The others only show up when I view the trash for the workspace the items were deleted from - not in any of the parent workspaces.

Also, if I am in the trash for a workspace, I do not seem to be able to switch to the trash for the All workspace.

The trash psudo-workspace seems pretty counter-intuitive to me. I would have expected it to behave in a similar way to other work spaces - click on Trash workspace, then emails would show emails in the trash, click on the notes, show trashed notes etc.

I can see the benefit of being able to look for trash from a particular workspace - I guess I got a little confused - perhaps the psudo-workspace placement of the icon needs to be re-thought.

General Discussion / Themeing the forum

Is there any way to change the color scheme on this forum? The blue background in the form elements is so close to the blue highlight color it is almost impossible to see what is selected and what is not.

I have recently installed KDE 4 on another machine, and it is all black on black with transparent black overlays. Triffik

Getting Started / Filter Contacts by Tags, & Add multiple Contacts to a Workspace

Greetings,

Can contacts be filtered by tag? I have added some users and have tagged some of them. When I click on the tag at the bottom left hand side, the contact list does not seem to get filtered.

Is this the expected behavior?

Also - I would like to be able to add multiple contacts to a workspace in one go - at the moment I can only add them one at a time - which is a bit tedious :-(

The 'add to workspace' link greys out after selecting more than one contact - so I am guessing this is the expected behavior?

Getting Started / Importing Companies

Greetings,

I am just taking Opengoo for a spin, and I want to import data from SugarCRM. Love the import wizard but it seems to only import contacts, not companies. There also seems to be no company information on the import page. It would be good to be able add imported users to companies.

Is there a way to import company information? I'll take a look at the database and see if I can understand it.

BTW - this is very much faster than SugarCRM. If it can do what I need, I'll be a convert :-)
