Older versions / Re: cron backup not working?

Thanks!

Does it matter if it's a 700 dir root.root that I specify?

Also, manual backup works, so I don't think it's a PHP memory error?

Older versions / cron backup not working?
« on: June 17, 2009, 06:56:09 am »
It seems that cron backup is not working, as I set it for 7 days but it has been over a month since it created something in the tmp/backup dir.

Also, can I change the dir it backs up to?

Thanks!

Pet,

I apologize if I came across the wrong way.  Thanks for the suggestions.

I look forward to the cron backups in the next release.  That should do me fine.  I hope they provide a file name that includes the date, etc.

Not when it's running on a local machine.

Regardless, what you're saying is more an argument against opengoo having a backup process method, period.

That'd be another good idea, just giving them permission to allow others.

the whole thing is, i only ever login in as my user, who is an admin.

Also, cron backups would be super:)

Like, a weekly backup with the date in the filename.

Is there any way to allow administrative users to do backups instead of having to log in as actual admin user?

I had blank stuff after automatic upgrade, until I told firefox to empty cache.

I had had 1.1 only.

ok, are you aware it says in the readme that it is?:)

Also, are there thoughts about allowing all administrators to do backups?

How To's / 1.2 is supposed to support cron job for backup, but does not?
« on: February 16, 2009, 03:37:45 pm »
Logged in as admin, went to administration/cron, backup is not listed here(but is listed under admin).

I want to set up a cron job to have a backup once a week and save it locally(is that possible, as I'm running this on my local webserver).

i.e.
Once a week, create backup and save to /opengoo/

however, obviously each backup would have to have a unique name.

From the readme, this is supposed to be possible, but looking under cron, it seems not to be????
