Development / Re: We really need invoicing:(

Thanks.   I just don't get why they don't release some kind of invoice plugin or something.  They say something to do with taxes, but that doesn't even make sense... make the tax part optional or not supported or something.  I just want data shared for clients between the two.

It's obvious the "invoicing" thread is dead.

I really don't understand why some people keep bringing up that it matters which country you are in.

This is NOT true.  Bamboo invoice doesn't have this problem, neither does simple invoice.  It doesn't matter the country/tax system if it's designed right.

Please add this feature!

I think it may be helpful for compression function to test the zip automatically after creation and then tell user that it was created and tested successfully, or something.  Otherwise, user will have to unzip it once to confirm that it was created successfully.

I'm not sure there's a pattern, I just went through my older workspaces and noticed sometimes when I compressed all files in a workspace, it would make an empty zip file.  I was fortunate to find this out before I deleted the files permanently(the files that were supposed to be compressed).

I was basically trying to compress all files within a workspace.

How To's / Re: Documents - archive feature, what does it do?

That's what I thought.

The problem with the compression feature is it seems to sometimes make blank zip files???  Is that some bizarre bug?

Sometimes when I compress multiple documents, the result is an empty .zip.

I am considering just "archiving" instead, with the archive feature, but I don't know whether or not that compresses or not?

I'm trying to think of a way to put old files for workspaces out of the way but keep them in case I need them.

I decided to archive them, but does this compress them at all?  If not, what's the point of archiving?

Also, I started zipping some of them with the compress feature, but it sometimes makes blank .zip files!

oh right.

I just want a way to make an invoice/bill for a product/service, and then email it or print it.

Is there any way to do invoicing with feng office yet, or use another program that integrates with it?

I want to go ahead and try your patch, but I don't know how to assign the old invoices to new clients it creates, etc.

Also, I had to upgrade to .9.0 of bi because I upgraded to new php with fedora 12

I really don't know short of some interactive option.   I don't think bamboo allows moving invoices to different clients?

I click "add contact" in BI to add an email address, so I can email invoices to people.

What will happen to my existing invoice relationships when they are broken, then?  Do I need to wait till next version to properly assign them to the correct client?

thanks!

I tried creating a new contact called mister client and put as his email, foo@ba2r.com.

It didn't copy his email over to bamboo.

Also, what will this do with existing clients/invoices in bamboo?   As in, as soon as I implement this patch, will I have duplicates because I had manually created the same people in bamboo before and invoices for them.
