Getting Started / Re: Starting using 1.2 or 1.3?
« on: March 01, 2009, 10:02:55 am »
ofc you can install 1.3
but it's still beta, so be prepared for problems ;)

for the first time using opengoo i would stick to 1.2 and wait at least for an rc of 1.3

1.3-beta / task view crashed
« on: February 28, 2009, 05:43:46 pm »
hey there,

i went to taks and set it to view completed tasks.
now i get an errormessage:

$error is not a valid Error instance!exception 'Exception' with message 'Task filter criteria "" not recognised' in .../opengoo/application/controllers/TaskController.class.php:428 Stack trace: #0.../opengoo/environment/classes/controller/Controller.class.php(69): TaskController->new_list_tasks() #1...opengoo/environment/classes/controller/PageController.class.php(62): Controller->execute('new_list_tasks') #2.../opengoo/environment/classes/Env.class.php(133): PageController->execute('new_list_tasks') #3.../opengoo/init.php(151): Env::executeAction('task', 'new_list_tasks') #4 .../opengoo/index.php(9): require('/var/www/virtua...') #5 {main}

the "..." contains the full path to my opengoo installation, but i think that's not important here :))

i can't see any taks any more. i always get that message, even when i log out and log in again...
how to fix that? :/

thx & greets,

How To's / Re: Upload filesize
« on: February 26, 2009, 01:48:43 pm »
do you use any kind of web control panel on your system?

i also had this problem, because mine has several locations where settings for the php.ini are done (and sometimes also set twice).

your maximum size for uploads is not limited by opengoo (at least i can't imagine why it should XD)

do you save your uploads in the filesystem or within the database?

Feature requests / automatically move emails to workspaces
« on: February 25, 2009, 07:02:43 pm »
it would be nice if one could automatically assign emails (per mail account, or imap mailbox, or maybe even sender or because of the subject?)
to a specified workplace.

Ideas / set custom width of elements on dashboard
« on: February 25, 2009, 02:26:05 pm »
hi there,

would it be possible to make the width of the elements on the dashboard configurable by the user?

or at least set te width for

"Late milestones and tasks", "Pending tasks", "Documents"

thx & greets,

damn guys you are really fast!
nice work!

update went smoothly.

my feedback:

i got this "check mark" after all my events (the one showing that i participate)
i think it's a littl ebit annoying (because i use my calendar alone and so i participate at all events, of course ;)   )
maybe there is another way to signalise that? maybe a lightly different colour of the event's name?

web links:
when you now click on the title of a web link you get the description instead of  opening the url directly
this is very good!!!
but the icon that opens the url could maybe be a bit smaller? XD

email retrieval from gmail seems to work partly now. but it only receives 10 emails (imap)
then i have to trigger it again
well, let's say 1600 / 10 time is a lot of work :S
is this a bug or a wrong setting or shall i open a new  thread about that in another forum?

about viewing emails:
is it possible to view the imap folders so one is able to quickly view only that one folder? because right now all email are collected in one big folder,
but isn't the sese of imap to view that folders on the "email client", too?
and thus keep client and server synced? is it possible to implement in opengoo, too?
opengoo gets all imap folders from gmail (when i look at the email account preferences). so it shouls also be able to view them that way.
would be great!!

thanks & keep up the great work!

greets from germany,

Installation problems / Re: Upgrading step by step needed?
« on: February 17, 2009, 03:04:13 pm »
i think it's worth a try to directly upgrade to the current version.
i did an upgrade vom 1.1 beta to 1.2 rc2 withou a problem (just upload all files and run the upgrade program).

as you make a backup before upgrade (at least you should do, no matter where you upgrade from) the worst thing you have to do is using this backup and then do a step by step upgrade. (remember to backup the database, too when doing an upgrade to a higher major version!!)

Announcements / Re: OpenGoo Release Candidate 2

so it should show up when (stable!) 1.2 is released, not only RCs

as far as i know upgrades are only shown when the next stable version is abailable.
eg 1.1 -> 1.2
and  not 1.2 rc1 -> 1.2 rc2
