« on: October 22, 2015, 05:41:24 pm »
Hello there.

Talk about being busy!

Feng Office 3.3 has been out for a while now (many of you probably noticed). So long, that we are about to release the first beta for 3.4.

But only today we found the time to tell you more about it here.

And to think it adds so much goodness!  ;D

As always, you may download its latest version from here.

Cheers!

Here is what I got from the development team:

Try commenting lines 414 to 416 in the file:
public/upgrade/scripts/ButiaUpgradeScript.class.php

The commented code should look like this:

Code: [Select]
/*
    $upgrade_script .= "
    ALTER TABLE `".$t_prefix."objects` ADD INDEX `type_trash_arch`(`object_type_id`, `trashed_on`, `archived_on`);
    ";
*/

After that, try running the upgrade again.

Does that work?

Yes.

We are in the middle of a process (It is actually a very long project that was started with version 2.7) of improving the tasks list.

With the latest version we made some structural changes.

Version 3.3 will have more changes (ability to resize columns, ability to separate clients, projects, workspaces and tags columns).

Follow up version we'll be focusing work on performance.

Hi bukbr,

Was your installation originally a 1.X install?

Hi Fincor,

The development team does offer a support plan for Community Edition installations.

Announcements / Feng Office Forum Policies
« on: August 04, 2015, 07:15:07 pm »
Hi everyone.

We love to have you around and work together to build the best possible Feng Office.

Keeping track of the forum is hard work, and we need all the help we can get.

We have the help of some awesome volunteers, some of which unfortunately spend as much time reporting abuse and spam as they do helping others.

Please make their work easier.

Rules are simple:
  • Be nice
  • No spam, of any sort
  • No foul language

We sometimes give a warning (depending on how blatant the offense is). Sometimes we don't.

Failing to follow the rules leads to users being banned and all their posts being deleted.

Thanks for your help!

Hi.

How do you want to collaborate?

29
What are you trying to achieve, Andrei?

Do you want to help resolve the issues, to get personalized support from the development team, or do you want to offend the entire team with mean comments?

There are thousands of small and medium sized business associations, chambers and professional societies that have been using Feng Office over the years.

They are happy with it.

But they had a few requirements that weren't met by the standard editions.

So we developed a special edition for them: Feng Office for Business Associations.

We are still in the process of developing communications material to showcase the specifics, but in a nutshell, this is what they do:
  • Manage Contact Databases
  • Billing and invoicing its members
  • Document Management
  • Communicating with its members and relevant audiences
  • Event planning and management (Including conferences, courses and meetings)

Do you work in a business association? Does this sound familiar?

We would love to hear your story and insight.

Also, if you run a Spanish-speaking Association, we already have material in Spanish at: http://www.fengasociaciones.com/

Looking forward to your feedback!
