Feng Office 1 / Linking to Multiple Contacts
« on: January 16, 2009, 10:54:42 am »
Not sure if this is a bug or what...

I had a note I wanted to link to two contacts. Clicked on "Link Objects" while viewing the note, and I was able to use ctrl-click to highlight both contacts, but when I clicked the OK button, only the first one I clicked on was linked.

Feature requests / Chronology of comments on notes
« on: January 13, 2009, 03:00:38 pm »
this is kind of minor, but being able to view "newest to oldest" vs the current "oldest to newest". Maybe make it switchable when viewing the note..

I have some notes with a number of comments added and would be nice to see the newest without having to scroll down all the time.

Ideas / Palm Pre
« on: January 09, 2009, 12:26:13 pm »
I for one am really psyc'd about the Palm Pre announcement at CES yesterday. This phone looks like just about everything I'd be looking for.

Given it's webOS, I'm hoping when it comes out it will be very easy to access my OpenGoo data on a phone like that...

I may have to get back into programming more in order to help make it possible! heh.

I know iPhone is the "thing", but the Pre looks like it will be much better for actual business application.

Feature requests / Some Calendar Items
« on: January 09, 2009, 12:15:13 pm »
From playing around a bit, if I set up a weekly meeting using the repeating event options, and invite folks to it.. if they decline one meeting, (or say yes), it sets that for all the repeating events.

This should be able to be done on an individual event regardless of the repeating settings... for example a weekly office meeting, I may be able to make them all but one week cause I'm on vacation.

Also. how about having an option to "Invite Attendees" on the menu on the right when viewing an event details page?

Feature requests / clickable email links
« on: January 07, 2009, 04:13:45 pm »
What file controls the output of the contact list view? How hard would it be to make the email addresses a clickable mailto: link? Would save time having to open the contact, then click the link :>

Ok, not much, but then I have to close it to get back to the list to maybe click someone else.

Feature requests / Object entries in multiple workspaces
« on: January 05, 2009, 11:31:45 am »
Is there any plan to allow calendar entries and tasks to be placed in more than one workspace like you can with documents, notes and contacts?

Feng Office 1 / Short Appointments

I created a calendar entry for 15min in duration, and it shows up as such a tiny sliver on the calendar I can't see any text, and without text to see, there's no link to click to edit it again.

Feature requests / Map It!

How about when viewing a contact or company info, a link that pulls the contact or company address and bring it up on Google Maps.

Feature requests / Not viewing sub-workspaces
« on: December 11, 2008, 11:43:55 am »
One of the great things bout OpenGoo is seeing an aggregate of all the info in the workspaces under it... but it would be nice to have a check box or filter to not do so...

for example... I have a company workspace, with private workspaces under for each employee.

When I view the company notes or tasks, I also see my stuff (the other employees in this case are private to them), but it would be nice to turn off viewing my stuff mixed in with the company stuff.

Feature requests / In-Out Status Board
« on: November 26, 2008, 12:14:01 pm »
How about a simple In-Out status board where users could post if they are in the office, or out of the office with a small note?

Example, I would mark myself as out of office, with a note "Client meeting, back by 3"

Some predefined or user-defined messages would be bonus, like "at lunch" or "gone for the day"

How To's / Seeing each other's calendars
« on: November 25, 2008, 03:36:55 pm »
I have a workspace set up for each user. Each of these is a sub-space of a company workspace.

If someone adds a calendar item to their workspace, I can see it on the overview page for the user, and the company. But if I go to the calendar... it only shows my calendar, no matter what workspace I'm on.

Why can't I see the calendar of the other user when viewing their workspace? I have all permissions turned on.

Feng Office 1 / Adding Contacts
« on: November 20, 2008, 03:08:21 pm »
Ok, these aren't really bugs... but maybe inconsistencies/missing items?

When entering a new contact, there doesn't seem to be a way to assign them to workspaces. I have to save the contact, then go back and edit the workgroups. Yes, it defaults to the workspace I'm currently in, but would be nice to have the option right away as I will often be adding folks to multiple workspaces right off the bat.

Also, I think there could/should be some more consistency in layout between entering contact and company info.

If you enter a new contact, as I mentioned, there's no way to edit workspaces.
When you view a contact, the option to do so is under Actions.
When you edit a contact the button for "Assign to workspace" is up near the "Back" button.
When you view a company, there is no option for workspaces under Actions and when you "update" a company the option for workspaces is under the company name.

Like I said, these aren't bugs... maybe you need a category for layout tweeks or something... or "usability". I dunno. These are more just inconsistencies that if looked at will help give OpenGoo a more professional/polished look and feel.

Are things like how you "edit" a contact, but "update" a company handled in the language files? that an other little things like how some action items use title case, others only cap the first letter of first word would be easily fixed, and may be a way I could even help contribute...?

Feng Office 1 / Tabbing Between Contact Fields in Firefox
« on: November 20, 2008, 12:18:23 pm »
In IE, I can easily tab between data fields when entering info for a new contact... not so easy in my preferred browser, Firefox.

Hopefully something can be tweeked to fix this...?

Feature requests / User Log
« on: November 19, 2008, 01:42:46 pm »
How about a log of log-ins?

just a simple list of users and the date/time they last logged in would be fine, but would also be nice to keep a history so you could see how often someone has been logging in, etc.
