Older versions / Creating Workspaces in 1.5
« on: November 16, 2009, 02:28:29 pm »
Ok, since upgrading to 1.5, this is the first time I've tried to add a workspace and I can't. It brings up the "loading", but the page to add a workspace never loads, same with editing...

I don't seem to get any error or anything, it just never loads...

any suggestions here?

Older versions / Lost Company Notes
« on: October 19, 2009, 12:40:08 pm »
I noticed this a few versions ago, just scanned the folder here and couldn't find any previous mention of this...?

When I add a note to a Company in contacts, save it, and then edit the Company again the note field comes up blank.

And even if I don't bring up the field, when I save the changes I lose the Note data.

Installation problems / Upgraded, but Version # out of Sync
« on: October 19, 2009, 12:12:09 pm »
ok, back a few versions ago I got an error during the upgrade. Ever since then my version number was right on the page, but I would get the "upgrade available" message every time I logged in.

During subsequent upgrades I would get a message about some tables already existing or something...but everything worked (other than the message at login) so I've been putting off dealing with it.

Now with the 1.5.3 upgrade I had some major problems.. and things broke.

I had backed up my DB so I did a fresh install of 1.5.3 - and after a lot of cut&paste to get the large backup imported again, I'm up and running again.

BUT, I still get the upgrade available message, and my page displays that I'm on v1.4.2 (that was the version the backup came from).

Is there some table I can go in via phpmysql and edit to change the version # and get rid of that message?

Installation problems / Existing Column
« on: May 27, 2009, 12:46:01 pm »
I ran into some issues when upgrading to 1.4.1 (connection issues or something that interrupted the upgrade)
Had to re-run the upgrade, now I end up with this...

    * Config file found and loaded.
    * File '/config/config.php' exists and is writable
    * Folder '/config' exists and is writable
    * Folder '/public/files' exists and is writable
    * Folder '/cache' exists and is writable
    * Folder '/tmp' exists and is writable
    * Folder '/upload' exists and is writable
    * Extension 'mysql' is loaded
    * Extension 'gd' is loaded
    * Extension 'simplexml' is loaded
    * Upgrade script has connected to the database.
    * Test query has been executed. Its safe to proceed with database migration.
    * Upgrade script has connected to the database.

    *
    * Failed to execute DB schema transformations. MySQL said: Duplicate column name 'type'
    * Error upgrading to version 1.4.1

The Duplicate column type is the issue...

I reloaded from the start, and it's working... so it seems...

is this something I should dig more in to, or am I good to go?

Feature requests / Sorting and Deleting Tags
« on: March 27, 2009, 11:51:04 am »
while I have been tagging stuff on a regular basis, I don't really sort much by them.. more for my client to find stuff ... so I got an unexpected surprise when I went to do some sorting by tags this morning... the new features! including deleting and sort and such.

One thing tho... could you either include the tag count when sorting alphabetically, or when sorting by number of tags, include those with 0 items.

I knew I had a couple tags to delete that I had started using, then changed... but I couldn't see the ones with nothing attached to delete, then when going to the alphabetical list... I had to really make sure I was deleting the right one cause it didn't verify how many items may or may not be attached to that tag.

That make sense?

As an aside, other future options to consider on the tags is renaming and merging...

1.3-rc2 / Trailing Spaces on Email and Web Address
« on: March 13, 2009, 09:47:35 am »
I was entering in a new company, and I copied and pasted the email address and picked up a trailing space... I got errors saving the contact because of it.

1.3-rc2 / Date order of Notes
« on: March 12, 2009, 11:45:20 am »
I could be mistaken, but didn't the "last updated" date on notes change if a comment was added?

This does not seem to be the case with RC2.

Feature requests / Tab Order
« on: March 11, 2009, 01:05:18 pm »
Hey, not sure if this has come up before.. but how bout an option to re-order the tabs?

Example, I use notes and tasks the most, then contact... so would be nice to have those tabs at the front of the list.

this is fairly cosmetic, but when on my laptop I have a smaller screen, so as modules get added it would be nice to be able to make sure I keep the stuff I use the most on the visible portion of the tab-bar.

How To's / Contacts Breadcrumbs
« on: March 11, 2009, 12:08:24 pm »
There's a post early on that shows the edit to put the workspaces after the contact  in the list view that I've been using.

I noticed 1.3RC3 has a "compressed" view where on a contact is said something about "+ 3 workspaces".

If you want to do this for 1.3 this seems to work..

find (around line 71)
Code: [Select]
return String.format('<span class="project-replace">{0}</span>&nbsp;', r.data.wsIds) + name;
and replace with
Code: [Select]
return name + String.format(' <span class="project-replace">{0}</span>&nbsp;', r.data.wsIds);

Feature requests / Updating Uploaded Documents
« on: February 20, 2009, 01:43:12 pm »
When viewing the properties of an uploaded file, how about adding a link under ACTIONS to update the file?

It's kind of minor, but skips the step of having to Edit the Properties, then Update it.

Feature requests / Editing Tags
« on: February 06, 2009, 06:15:27 pm »
It would be handy to be able to edit tags right from viewing an object.

For examples, I use notes for tracking things like RFIs, submittals and such to the architects. I start the note when I receive something from a subcontractor and mark it with a "pending" tag.

I use comments to update the status, like "submitted to architcect", "recieved back, change as noted" or whatever. Then when it's finished up, I change the tag from pending to "closed".

I dunno, maybe it's a minor thing, but having a "edit" button along with the list of tags might be handy for doing quick changes... sort of along the lines of the add a link setup.

Is there any plan to add a Notes field for company contacts the way there is for peeople?

Feng Office 1 / v1.1 - Linking Items to New Document
« on: February 03, 2009, 01:20:13 pm »
I tried this a couple times..
When adding a new, uploaded document to a workspace, it would not let me link it to a contact.

After uploading, I could go back and modify the properties of the file and link then.

Feng Office 1 / Calendar View By User in IE
« on: January 29, 2009, 06:10:27 pm »
in 1.1

When you hit more than 10-12 users, if you try to view the calendar of another user in Firefox, the list of users gets a scroll bar, but in IE it doesn't. You can scroll, but you need to use the arrow keys, you can't use a scroll wheel or mouse in any way.

Feature requests / Breadcrumbs as it's own column
« on: January 16, 2009, 11:02:15 am »
this is sort of a question and an suggestion...

I used the code hack posted to put the workspace breadcrumbs after the name in contacts...  any chance of getting the file names/locations and changes to do the same in other areas?

which leads to my suggestion... what about making the workspace breadcrumbs it's own column? That way I can put it in the order I want, or remove it from view entirely.

And lastly, maybe this is a bug or just not a feature yet, but when I make changes to how I view columns, those changes don't seem to carry over from session to session. Would be nice if it would such stuff so I don't need to reset things every time.

Thanks!
