Feng Office 3 / Re: Upgrade from 2.x to 3

No clue about why it's not in the documentation, but it has been established that the procedure is the same, and most people have a smooth upgrade.

Glad you figured it out - it is soo critical tht you know your server configuration and where it is pulling config options from!

Almost unbeliveble, just me with this problem?   ???

What do your server logs say (copy and paste them here) when you reload the index page.  I don't mean the FO logs, I mean the syslog on your server.

It sounds like you don't have a dependency in place.  I presume you have already looked at this post, and it didn't solve it?

Installation problems / Re: Clean Install, Nothing Appears Under Menu

Checked error logs... I can't seem to find anything that connects to the time.
Which error logs - FO or Server?  I think you might find more in the server error logs.  Check them first, and then let us know what they show.

Try deleting autoloader.php.

If not, try reloading apache and mysql (or just reboot your server).

If not - then you may be missing a dependency - look in your server logs for issues, or use your browser debugger to see what fails to load.

It was a nice tool to see a list task from one user in all workspaces.
You could use the group by: Assigned to in tasks to accomplish something similar.

If you read carefully my posts, the problem is not only when grouping by workspaces. It happens when grouping by:

- Workspaces
- Completed on
- Tags
Still just an annoyance.  Have you posted it to the bug tracker?

Almost two weeks, and nobody answers to our questions! It's very frustrating here.

I think it's because it's not really a big issue, mainly an annoyance.  It is only present when you group tasks by workspace.  Depending on your usage, grouping by workspace is not a very useful grouping.  Our install has over 1000 workspaces so this grouping is pretty useless to find tasks.

Other than the annoyance of it being there - how does this impact the workings of FO?

Have you posted this as a bug on the bug tracker?  That is the better way to get information to the developers than this forum, I have found.  They tend to come here only every few weeks.

From what I gather - in version 3 of FO, this is no longer possible as there was some confusion between people and users.  I understand they are thinking of exploring bringing it back...  It was a nice quick tool to tell who had permissions to a workspace, wasn't it!

I assume Google Calendar sync is still not functional on the current stable release?
Anything less than 3.2 won't work.  Right now 3.2 is in RC, and should include a calendar sync - I would suspect to see the stable version (not that RC isn't stable) within the next few weeks.

Just add your own favicon.ico file and overwrite the one in the FO install.

Feng Office 3 / Re: Email data kept in database
« on: June 03, 2015, 11:34:55 am »
Hello FengOffice team,

first, great job on the project so far, been a user of it for a couple years now (Community edition - sorry :) ).

My fengoffice is getting big in terms of database size and after inspecting it with phpmyadmin, I noticed that
fo_mail_datas 92.3 MiB
fo_searchable_objects 43.6 MiB

Are by far the biggest tables... Even closer inspection shows that even though you remove email...
First into trash can, then empty trash can, email data seems to stay in the database and pile up endlessly.

Is this a known bug? Or am I doing something wrong?
Should I make some sort of cleaning script and wipe data from those two tables (for emails that dont exist anymore) - is that safe to do, can you tell me what to look out for?

Thank you

I agree it may be nice to have email data also be purged as we keep all email backed on a backup email server, although it is a minor concern on our par.

The sizes you mention are really not that big....  Is the size of the database becoming an issue in some way?

My overall FO database is 7.46GB and it runs quickly.  The mail db is close to 1GB.

How To's / Re: Update 3.1.x to 3.1.y ?
« on: May 28, 2015, 09:18:38 am »
3.x - 3.x is the same as 2.x to 2.x.  I have pasted the next two lines from the readme.txt - go to that link, it will walk you through the upgrade.

Upgrade

There currently are two kind of upgrades:
   1- From 2.X to 2.X (or from 1.X to 1.X)
   2- From 1.X to 2.X

Either way, we strongly suggest reading the following article in our Wiki for further information:

Feng Office 3 / Re: FengOffice 3.1.3 - again blank screen
« on: May 13, 2015, 12:00:54 pm »
Successfully WRONG- upgraded to 3.1.4.3 - but still blank screen - what a success story of a not functioning great product ...

What are your server specs and php settings?  This is most likely an issue with a dependency that is not installed on your server...

FO works really well - all versions work!

Can you share with us your server error logs - not the FO logs...  that will help to determine the issue.
