Feng Office 3 / Email linked documents with calendar invites
« on: April 15, 2015, 09:44:10 am »
Does anyone know of a way to include linked documents as attachments to calendar invites?  It does not appear to be a standard option - but I'm going to explore a custom fix to this....  much like how subscribers get emailed a copy of the file that is sent to trash.

Any thoughts on this anyone?

Feng Office 3 / 3.0.7 lost tasks
« on: February 15, 2015, 04:26:10 pm »
Since the upgrade to 3.0.7, some recurring tasks are not shown in the task view.  However, they can be seen in the Overview tab....  so, they are simply hidden in the task view.  This only appears to happen with recurring tasks.

Feng Office 3 / Possible bug
« on: January 09, 2015, 02:15:01 pm »
I tried to post this on Mantis, but it redirects me to: http://www.fengoffice.com/bu/bugs/with a 404 error.

When adding a calendar entry, and inviting a user, even if both of the below are checked, no email notification is sent, and the user is not subscribed to the calendar event.
Send email notifications
Subscribe invited users

In order to subscribe them, you have to go to Subscribe screen and subscribe them there.  When you do this, an email notification is sent to the subscribed user noting the event was changed.

Thanks!

Feng Office 3 / 3.0.2 new feature
« on: January 09, 2015, 01:25:03 pm »
Can anyone explain the new feature: Push task dates in 3.0.2?  I can't seem to see any differences, but maybe it is "under the hood".

Thanks!

FYI - the files for 3.0RC2 did not upload properly to sourceforge.  The readme file shows, but not the full program files.

Background Processes

It seems, if I'm not mistaken, that some processes that used to be done in the background with Feng 2.7.X now run in the foreground.

For example:  When you click: check email, all of the current emails disappear and you can't work on them while it checks for new emails.

When you delete emails, they get removed on the screen, and then the emails reload - it seems there may have been an extra step introduced, reloading the emails?

Notes

It would be to have a column for date/time the note was created and one for last update

Calendar

There is some weird behaviour when in view all workspaces in that all events can be seen in monthly view, but don't show up in weekly or daily view.  To see them in this view, you have to select their workspace, and then the event shows up in the weekly and daily views.

Vertical spacing - it seems that all areas (email, tasks, notes, documents) could still use a little more vertical compaction so that more items fit on the page.

Anyone else having these experiences or is just my install?

Feng Office 2 / Task sort by due date
« on: September 06, 2014, 04:32:41 pm »
I'm having a new issue with 2.7.01 that wasn't there previously.  When trying to sort tasks by due date, I cannot select both a start and an end date.  As soon as one is selected, it applies the value, but blanks it out.  I cannot reset it to removing the filter.

Can anyone identify where I can find the filter inforamtion in the mysql database so I can attempt to manually remove it?

Feng Office 2 / Cannot add a group
« on: August 31, 2013, 04:11:29 pm »
When I try to add a group, I get a 500 error code.

In the error logs, I get the following:

#1 ERROR: Error: Undefined variable: user in '/public/application/views/account/system_permissions.php' on line 55 (error code: 8)
Time since start: 0.54455804824829 seconds

Any ideas?

Feng Office 2 / Documents disappeared
« on: August 20, 2013, 04:48:35 pm »
After changing the name and Located Under workspace, my tasks and documents have disappeared.

They seem to still exist in the db - but are no longer linked properly.  I'm digging around looking to see how I might change the relationship manually - I would appreciate any assistance.

Thanks,

Steve

Feature requests / Overdue task reminders
« on: October 30, 2012, 11:49:32 am »
Currently, reminders can be set to send emails *before* a task is due.  I have a number of users who are not diligent on completing their tasks, and would love to have the ability to have email reminders sent out for overdue tasks.

I don't see this as a current capability, but don't think it would be too challenging to implement?

Thanks again!
