Older versions / v1.6.2 Text Editor Error in Fire Fox only.
« on: June 13, 2010, 05:29:07 pm »
Dear Admin,

We have observed an incomplete maximization of the screen in the edit mode of documents module (when using the 'Maximize' button/link). The bottom 1/3 of the screen remains unexpended, displaying the content which was there before the screen was maximized. We have observed this error only when using the Firefox browser v3.6.3. It does just fine in  See Monkey for example.

Thanks.

Dear Feng Office team,

We understand that financial contribution is vital in expediting your efforts in improving and developing the Feng Office script.

I am suggesting to incorporate the PayPal link/option/feature if any possible, at the same time readily accessible to all Forum users, in order for them to donate any amount of  $ towards a particular feature they have requested or are interested in.

Note: If 200 users contribute only $1.00 that amounts to $200.00 right there.

Here are some ideas:

1. Maybe a new forum's topic, named 'Finance YOUR Feng Office Feature'
2. Requested features to be traced by their unique ID numbers (for the users to mention it when financially contributing)
3. A progress bar that is updated on a regular bases (i.e. either, daily, weekly, or monthly) where users can visually see how the contributions are coming
4. Estimated amount of $ needed to get the job done by the Feng Office team.
4. A link where users can be directed to a prioritized list of features requested, in order to see when their requested feature will be worked on.

This project could be expended with other ideas as well.

Let me know what you think about this suggestion.

Thanks.

Feature requests / Limited Comments feature: a More defined access
« on: June 13, 2010, 11:00:17 am »
Dear Admin,

As it is important to us, I am sharing this request with you again, hopping that it will be taken into consideration for the future releases.

We have noticed when x number of users have been assigned to the same workspace, (i.e. 'Current Discussions') and given the access to read/write comments, they all have the permission to delete all comments left by any one of the users assigned to the same workspace.

Can there be a feature/check box under user permissions (i.e. 'Limited Comments Access') where if checked, users can only delete their own comments, while maintaining the access to read/write any comments posted within the same workspace.

Thanks.

Ideas / File Size in the List View
« on: June 13, 2010, 09:53:09 am »
Dear Admin,

we find it very cumbersome to have to access 'Detailed View' of a file within the 'Documents' module, in order to find out how large the file is.

Would it possible (in the List View) to either:

1. create an additional Column's value 'File Size' that can be checked on as needed/customized basis (we are doing this already for existing column's values: Name, Type, Tags, Last Updated By, Created By, Status, Actions).

2. or to be able to get the file size through a pop-up screen that would come up by simply positioning the mouse over the actual name of the file.

Thanks.

Older versions / Re: v1.6.2 Tasks module: Drag&Drop Error
« on: June 08, 2010, 01:57:44 am »
nice workaround! I tested it already, and it works as explained. I hope though, that the same option of drag+drop will become available within the task module  as well.

Thanks a bunch.

I am using FireFox mainly and our staff is instructed to do the same, as we found it to be most compatible, but to assist you further I have tested the same script today in 3 different browsers with the same outcome:

FireFox 3.63
Internet Explorer 7
Internet Explorer 8
See Monkey Portable Edition 2.0.4

Thank you very much. Feng Office team is doing a great job in improving the script.

Older versions / v1.6.2 Tasks module: Drag&Drop Error
« on: June 06, 2010, 09:52:26 am »
Dear Admin,

we have noticed that once a task is created in a specific workspace, it cannot be dragged & dropped (i.e. like notes and documents content) into an alternative or another workspace.

At the present time, this feature is possible by accessing each task individually in the 'Edit' mode in order to assign an alternative workspace.

Is this a bug? And can this feature be considered for the next Feng Office release

Thanks.

Dear Admin,

I have detected an error when using the link.

As you have indicated, that link should change all permission per module to the value chosen,

however, when the link is used (clicked on, i.e. read only) and these changes saved immediately thereafter, upon coming back to verify modified permissions, we have found that the script has not accepted the change. Permissions remain unchanged.

Is this is a bug? It appears to be, as the link/function is non-functional in our script. We have tested it under Administrator as well as well under a user account, both having full rights to change permissions of the workspace.

Thanks.

Older versions / v1.6.2 Documents 'Save' function error
« on: May 23, 2010, 04:41:09 pm »
Hi, I have observed the following error in v.1.6.2.

after document is written and the Spell check feature used (either one of the two available), the content cannot be saved any more.

The only way to proceed with using the Feng Office is to hit 'F5' in IE or 'Reload' button in FireFox to reload the entire site.

I perceive this to be a bug. If I am wrong, please correct me.

Thank you very much for your support.

Thank you for the clarification!

But I am also interested to learn the purpose of the function 'Read & Write' and 'Read Only' link that is readily available there? What is it for then? When clicking on it, it places a check mark in all radial buttons below it, with the exception that the system does not pay any heed to it.

Thanks.

Older versions / Re: Date format
« on: May 23, 2010, 02:56:08 pm »
Hi, we have several scripts on our server installed, and we have set the date format to: mm/dd/yyyy  in all our scripts. We had no problems changing it.

Older versions / v1.6.2 Documents List View Error
« on: May 23, 2010, 09:32:55 am »
I have noticed this bug in previous versions of the Feng Office as well as in the v.1.6.2.

Upon exiting 'Document Detailed View', the screen returns to the 'List' view. For Some odd reason, the very last document always at the bottom of the screen is only 50% visible, and the window scroll bar is already scrolled all the way down.

The only way I am able to get rid of this phenomena is to refresh the entire site, i.e. hitting the F5 button or click the reload button on the browsers. Refreshing the current Feng Office screen by double clicking on the module tab, or using the blue refresh link at the bottom of the page, does not resolve the problem.  The light blue bar (which contains the byline with 'All Rights Reserved' at the bottom of the page appears to be in 'Foreground' overlapping the very last/bottom document by 50%, making it almost inaccessible.

Can this bug be considered to be resolved in the next versions of the Feng Office

Thanks.

Older versions / ver1.6.2 Trash workspace problems
« on: May 19, 2010, 10:39:00 am »
When trying to delete items in the 'Trash' manually:

I have noticed that whenever I highlight ALL items on the entire page by using the check all check boxbox located in the most left upper corner, all items on that page get deleted, but the check box remains checked. In order to continue, I have to un-check it first, so that I can use it again.

Can this check all check box be refreshed along with the content of the page after deletion of the content in the 'Trash' work space?

Thanks.

Hi everyone,

would it be possible to have a feature built in under the 'Passwords' menu to temporarily lock a user account if the password was incorrectly typed in for x number of times.

i.e. if a user name is compromised, and the hacker, intruder, etc. is attempting to breach the server security measures, it would be of a great benefit to lock the account for let's say 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes or so.

Thanks.
