Feature requests / Re: "Create and link" from any object
« on: July 10, 2010, 05:41:57 pm »
Cabeza,

I agree with fkstef, the Feng Office offers great features, but somehow there are still many clicks involved. Shortcuts of this nature would enhance the navigation within the script and allow users to become more efficient, save more time when navigating through the script, and get the job done faster.

I would love to see this feature implemented in the future releases.

Thanks.

Feature requests / Re: More Colors for workspaces
« on: July 10, 2010, 05:14:06 pm »
I agree with karlstatt suggestion. I understand that most of the basic colors have been exhausted already except BLACK.

Dear admin, would it be difficult to include the black color to the palate of colors?

Thanks.

How To's / Re: Lacking permission to delete tags

that is important to know!

Is there a way for a regular user to be promoted to the administrator level then? and if yes, what options are available in the system.

Thanks.

How To's / Lacking permission to delete tags
« on: July 07, 2010, 10:46:37 pm »
Upon logging in as a user, I have the permission rights to create tags but not to delete them. This is not the case upon logging in as an administrator.

What settings do I need to change to grant users permission rights to delete tags as well?

Thanks.

How To's / How to print out of tree view of all workspaces?
« on: July 07, 2010, 12:45:30 am »
I would love to be able to make a print out of some sort of all workspaces in the tree view fashion. Printing into a txt file would be satisfactory too.

Is this possible and how?

Thanks.

Dear Admin,

I have reviewed the testing environment you have suggested. I find the speeds decent actually, not slow. However, my DSL download speeds are 5mb. I do not know how the lower speeds would affect the navigation of the website.

Why did you install the script on the sourceForge.net website? Why not create a subdomain directly on the fen Office server, and test the script speeds there? It would make more sense to me.

I think this could work. I have left one idea along with a solution proposal as well. You can follow up for on it.

Let me know if I can be of further help.

Thanks.

Dear Admin,

we have detected the following:

1. When a link is being created within the online editable/viewable document (In Document's module) and saved,
2. and then the same document accessed from the list view (document's module) into the detailed view,
3. and then the user clicks on the link created earlier,
4. if the link is an external website image (from some place online not from within the Feng Office), the linked image is displayed in the place of the actual document..which is fine, but there is no way to return back to detailed view (of the actual document), except by clicking once on the 'Back' button of the browser.

Can there be a back button, or something similar to bring the user back to the detailed view of the document once he/she clicks on a the created weblink that links to an external image?

Thanks.

Feature requests / Automatic Classification of Email attachments
« on: June 27, 2010, 12:12:14 am »
Dear Admin,

We really appreciate the option of being able to drag an email to a designated workspace and by dragging it automatically classify its attachments to the same (destination) workspace as well.

Would it be possible to expend the options offered from the drop-down menu (in the configuration menu on the administrative side)  in order to add the feature of automatic classification of email attachments to the workspace where emails are  deposited into.

i.e. emails are directed to be deposited in the workspace '\Emails\user name...\Inbox'  and all email attachments are immediately classified to the same workspace.

Users can greatly benefit from this option as they can start using the individual attachments (i.e. pictures, documents, zipped files, etc) immediately and move them/organize them to various other workspaces

Would it be too much of a trouble to add this option in the upcoming Feng Office releases?

Thanks.

Dear Admin,

I am glad that I can assist. My intention is to get involved more as the time progresses, however, at the present time, I can offer suggestions, reviews and potential solutions.

Looking forward to work with you.

Thanks again.

Dear Admin,

is there a way to finalize this code and incorporate it in the next releases of Feng Office?

Thanks.

Dear Admin,

I have reviewed the website you have suggested. It appears promising.

In one way I like the idea of 'pledging' vs. investing.
However, as I am part of a non-profit organization myself, experience teaches me that once you find an individual interested in supporting a project, it is in your best interest to collect his donation as soon as possible, as project details may change, and (1000 people = 1000 minds & attitudes) investors may withdraw their investments as well.

Here are some suggestions I have.

1. It would be redundant to have feng users/feng community users suggesting improvements/solutions on both places: Feng Forum & Idea torrent.
For simplicity reason, I would suggest to eliminate the section for new ideas, etc. at the Feng Forum and direct users to Idea Torrent Feng domain.

2. It becomes cumbersome to go the 'Idea Torrent'  to vote and then go to  MicroPledge to search for a specific project to pledge a support.
Instead, it would be far better to have a link incorporated within the main text body (or some place) on the Idea Torrent, where users can simply click on and be redirected to a correct web address on MicroPledge website (corresponding to the specific project they voted on Idea torrent)  to commit their support/pledge. etc. PayPal uses the same methodology, where ebay users are redirected to paypal's website when needing to pay for an item they have purchased while everything is prefilled and ready, they just need to login and lick "Pay".

Otherwise, this project could work. I think, like anything else, it will require some time for the feng users to become accustomed to two fold workflow: voting on the Idea torrent, and then committing/pledging on MicroPledge.

I am looking forward to see this this project being implemented.

Thanks.

The one thing I was not able to find out is if it is possible to direct a feng user/feng community user directly via a link to

Dear Admin,

I have reviewed the website you have suggested. I love it. It is easy to navigate for the users as well as for the administrative side of the script.

This is an excellent script for the community voting procedures.

However, I was not able to see how you can incorporate the PayPal option into this script once the vote is final and approved for development.

I would love to see this script being implemented on the feng office website/server.

Thanks.

Older versions / Re: EMail administration line doesn´t show up
« on: June 13, 2010, 06:55:57 pm »
Dear Admin,

Note: at the present time, the only solution to this problem is to uninstall the antivirus, as it keeps producting continuously the problem (mentioned here) in the Feng Office.

I have had faced the same issue with the last version of Feng Office 1.6.2. I did not test it with previous versions thou.

My work computers are protected with the same antivirus program. Using a work computer, I have accessed our domain containing the Feng Office script and had experienced the same problems. I have tried accessing it with FireFox and with Internet Explorer 7 - same results. I have then logged in remotely into my home computer, and have accessed the site from my home computer, and it worked just fine.

There is definitely something up with the compatibility between the Kaspersky Anitvirus software on the local machine and the Feng Office site opening up in a browser.

Thanks.
