Feature requests / To disable a user account vs. deleting it
« on: May 16, 2010, 07:24:19 pm »
Hi everyone,

I am currently administering the Feng Office for our local community in Fort Wayne, IN. We have encountered a number of circumstances where we had no other choice but to delete a user account vs. having an option to temporarily disable it.

If the administrator has the capability to disable a user account, the user can still retain its account, settings, etc. but temporarily be prevented from logging in.

Is this difficult to achieve and can it be implemented in one of the future version of the Feng Office?

Thanks.

I have noticed this error in previous versions as well as in v1.6.2

when attempting to change permission rights to various workspaces:

1. when clicking on the link 'Read & Write', link or
2. when clicking on the link 'Read Only' link

to select all modules simultaneously, and confirming with 'Save Changes' button, not all workspaces get assigned/changed to to selected permission right.

In order to avoid this bug, a manual selection/clicking on all modules is necessary - no problems occur when editing permission rights in this fashion.

Can this be fixed in one of the following versions of the Feng Office?

Thanks.

Installation problems / Class 'DB' not found on line 111
« on: February 12, 2010, 12:10:25 pm »
v. 1.6.2

I have downloaded the existing script from our shared webhosting space onto the local machine using wampserver. I have also tried the same with XAMP with same results.

The script works just fine online, but fails to work on the local machine.
The config.php has been configured properly, but the following error is still there.

[error] [client 127.0.0.1] PHP Fatal error:  Class 'DB' not found in C:\\wamp\\www\\feng\\init.php on line 111

Does anybody have any pointers?

thanks.

Older versions / v1.6 PowerPoint Bug
« on: December 20, 2009, 10:46:21 am »

When a PowerPoint document is created and saved it works fine.

The bug occurs when the PowerPoint document is either:

1. zipped and then unzipped, or
2. downloaded onto a local machine and uploaded again into the OpenGoo

Unzipped and uploaded PowerPoint documents (which were created in OpenGoo to begin with) come back in the form of a text document and many times text-lines crossing each-other.

(I have noticed that the issue with recognition of PowerPoint was present in v1.5.3 and so far it appears it was not addressed in v1.6 either.)

Any suggestions on how this problem can be fixed?

Thanks.

I am experiencing the exactly the same problem. After deleting the mail (which does go to the trashcan and it stays there), and after checking the mail again, same email messages are download again from the server.

I am using the POP3.

I have also noticed that if I select the option "YES" for 'Delete mails from server' found under the email edit account menu, and specify "1" for 'after ____days', then emails tend not to be downloaded from the server anymore after some time.

This bug was not present in OpenGoo 1.5.3 version. If OpenGoo team would be able to look into this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

Because the upgrade failed from 1.5.3 to 1.6, a fresh install of OpenGoo 1.6 was done on our server.

Thanks.

Does anybody have any idea or suggestion about why emails get dowloaded from the server into the OpenGoo, once delted inside the OpenGoo account?

Older versions / v1.6 Delete mails from server malfunction
« on: December 15, 2009, 05:59:46 am »
When selecting the option 'YES' to delete the mails from the server and choosing '0' days, the option is not saved. As of right now, it appears that there is no way of telling the OpenGoo application to delete emails immediately after downloading them from the server.

Can this problem be addressed in the next release?

Thanks.

Older versions / v1.6 Email signatures not saved/disappearing
« on: December 15, 2009, 05:20:43 am »
Bug #1:
When email accounts are created by the default 'admin' administrator for other users, email accounts are being created but no signatures are being saved.

Bug #2:
When one email address was created by the user and another email address added by the default 'admin' administrator for the same user, then:

when the user attempts to compile a new email, clicks on 'From' link to switch to his/her second email address, not only the signature of the second email address is missing (email account crated by the administrator), but also when attempting to switch back to the default email address, the signature of the default email address is missing/not being displayed anymore

Is there a way to fix this problem?

Thanks.

attempted upgrade but failed. The following error message occurs:

■Failed to execute DB schema transformations. MySQL said: Duplicate column name 'archived_on'
■Error upgrading to version 1.6

When attempting to login, v. 1.6 is being displayed at the bottome of the screen, new features appear to be there, but all email accounts were gone. I would have to setup email accounts for all users within the OpenGoo.

Is there a fix to this problem? Can the upgrade issue be fixed? I had to restore my backup to v. 1.5.3

Thanks.

OpenGoo 1.5.3

Problem:
1. When multiple users have been assigned to one particular workspace
2. And given the read & write permission, so that any one of them can create new notes in that very same workspace,
3. Then all users assigned to the same workspace can delete not only the entire note created in the workspace, but also they can delete all comments regardless who posted them (not only their own but any comments posted by any user assigned to that workspace)

OpenGoo team,
would you please consider to enhance the access writes for comments in the Note section in the next OpenGoo release 1.5.4, so that users, regardless of their read& write permission, can only delete their own comments, and not those posted by others.

Thank you for continuously improving the OpenGoo.

Thanks a bunch!

Older versions / 1.5.3 Attachment lost when forwarding
« on: October 15, 2009, 11:25:31 am »
OpenGoo 1.5.3 (not upgraded, but freshly installed)

Problem:
When forwarding emails with an attachment, the content of the email is being forwarded but the attachment(s) are lost every single time.

Attempted remedy:

1. I have changed the preference  by going to: Account > Edit Preference > Email option > Attach files contents > "YES" I have done this on both OpenGoo users and have attempted to re-forward the email with its attachment, without any success.

2. I have attempted to manually select the attachment by going to: attachments > Select attachment from workspace >.. I was able to see the attachment that came with the email, but still even after selecting it, it would not forward

3. The only way I was able to forward the attachment is by doing the following:
a. Classifying the email to a workspace along with selecting the option "Add attachments to workspace"
b. Accessing the email and selecting the forwarding function
c. selecting Attachments > Select attachment from workspace > ...and choosing the actual file/attachment that was previously classified to a workspace.

OpenGoo team,

would you please consider to enhance email forwarding function in the next release 1.5.4, where users can simply forward the attachment(s) without classifying it to a workspace. This would greatly enhance the email function.

You have done so much in OpenGoo already, and so many people are benefiting. Thank you so much for your sustainable efforts.

Thanks a bunch.

Older versions / Re: Print email
« on: October 15, 2009, 10:50:10 am »
Hi, I am the Editor-in-Chief for the INFW magazine. Bookkeeping, including printing of emails, is truly one of our priorities. Can the OpenGoo team consider this adding this function in the next upgrade 1.5.4? Or how about converting it into the pdf file instead and store it automatically under the document's tab.

OpenGoo team, your contribution has greatly benefited so many people around the globe. This email printing function is truly essential and it further complete/enhance email module.

Thanks a bunch!

Older versions / 1.5.3 Group Premission Access Malfunctioning
« on: September 23, 2009, 02:34:12 pm »
Following Group Permission Access is Malfunctioning:
All members can view the posted notes, but no member can post/add a comment to any of the notes. The system acts like "read-only" permission was granted.

Current Configuration:

Work spaces:
     "Collaboration"
     "Minutes"
Groups:
     "Board Members"
7 members have been assigned to this group
no manual permission override was manipulated in the menu
          "Workspaces" or 'Users"

Group Permissions for "Board Members" group:
     for "Collaboration" workspace
"All" for all members in the group with "Read & Write" options
Assign tasks to members of owner company  - "check-mark"
Assign tasks to members of other clients - "check-mark"
     for "Minutes" workspace
"All" for all members in the group with "Read & Write" options
Assign tasks to members of owner company  - "check-mark"
Assign tasks to members of other clients - "check-mark"

OpenGoo Version 1.5.3
Can you help?
Thanks.

Feature requests / Folders for documents
« on: August 25, 2009, 02:39:33 am »
It would really nice and convenient if users could create different folders to organize their documents space. The only issue I am concerned about is what will happen if the default settings are changes and all documents are stored in MySQL database.
