Feng Office 1 / Can't choose a company for a new user
« on: October 17, 2008, 04:52:07 pm »
It seems that I'm not able to choose a company for a new user - a new user is assigned to the owner company automatically. That's often not what I want, so I have to change it later. And if I choose to create a contact when creating a user, then this wrong company assignment will be part of the contact as well.

Feng Office 1 / Inherited checkbox

Contacts > List view:

If I check a contact and delete it by clicking "Delete", the next contact will get selected. Since we are talking of deleting records that behaviour seems dangerous to me.

How To's / Personal Workspaces: Parent Workspace for Administrators only?
« on: October 17, 2008, 04:40:37 pm »
When editing personal workspaces in the administration panel I realized that I can not always assign a parent workspace. I first thought that this depends on whether the user is an administrator or not, but that's not true. I cannot see a pattern, but there is something wrong with assigning parent workspaces in v0.9.1.

Feng Office 1 / Homepage plus Website?
« on: October 16, 2008, 07:28:48 pm »
Can anyone tell the difference between the Website and the Homepage in the company info? For me that's the same, so we only need one of the two fields. I'm I wrong?

Ideas / Re: OpenGoo UI
« on: October 16, 2008, 06:02:27 pm »
Hi Conrado

I only need the information about which files to copy and where to put them to create a new theme. Playing around with the styles is not the problem.

Feng Office 1 / [BUG] Title filed in user profile is truncated
« on: October 16, 2008, 05:58:51 pm »
The database field for the title in the user profile is obviously shorter than the corresponding form filed in the user administration, therefore this information gets truncated if its longer than 30 characters.

Ideas / Re: OpenGoo UI

There is always room for improvement. On the other hand: I've checked hundreds(!) of open source web applications in the last months, and not many are so well designed like OpenGoo. Thank you guys!

BTW: I can see a folder "themes", but I'm not sure how to create my own theme. Are there any instructions?

Getting Started / Re: Which webhosting company do you use for OpenGoo?
« on: October 10, 2008, 01:40:49 am »
My OpenGoo installation runs at http://www.cyon.ch, it runs without problems, and it's good performance for the price. But this is a small hosting company in Switzerland, so I don't know if they are serving international clients as well.

Announcements / Re: New forum structure
« on: October 07, 2008, 07:08:56 am »
Boards for non English speakers might be useful. But one single board for all non English languages doesn't make sense. We should provide at least individual boards for Spanish, French and German (and more on request).

Sorry, I just noticed that there is already a Spanish subboard. So could we add French and German as well?

Let's say you have installed your OpenGoo in the following directory:

http://www.myserver.com/mydirectory/opengoo/

Now you decide to move this installation to:

http://www.myserver.com/another_directory/

Simply moving all files with your FTP client is the first step, but that's not enough - you have to change the path in the following files as well:
- config/config.php
- cache/autoloader.php

Thanks for your quick answer.

I have version 0.8, but it's there already.

How To's / Convert Contacts to Users?
« on: October 06, 2008, 02:59:42 pm »
Is there a way to convert a contact into a user (or the other way round)? I realize that the data structure is quite different, but it would be a nice feature.

It's kind of confusing anyway to have these two types of persons. Why not merge these two and simply add a flag "can login" to distinguish contacts from users?
