Installation problems / Auto Upgrade: Feng Office 1.6.2 reports "No new version available"

I tried to upgrade my Feng Office 1.6.2 installation to 1.7.0 using the "Upgrade" feature in the administration section, but it tells me that there is no new version available. Why?

Before writing a chapter about archiving some things have to be fixed:

- the archive folder is missing in the workspaces list of milestones.

No chance to move any milestone to the archive by chanching the workspace.

- In “Actions” you'll find “move to trash”, not “move to archive”.

No chance to move any milestone to the archive by action.

Conclusion:

there is a workspace "archived objects" but no chance to move something in.

Should be fixed ASAP

How To's / Backup in Admin Panel gone?

When comparing the administration panel of OpenGoo 1.5.3 and 1.6 I realized that there is a new button "E-Mail Accounts", but the button "Backup" has gone. Why? Where?

Older versions / [1.5.3] Automatic upgrade: Misleading confirmation message

When you do an automatic upgrade you get the following confirmation message:

You already have upgraded to the latest possible version.

That sounds as if I had tried to upgrade without an upgrade being available. Since this was not the case (I did a regular upgrade from 1.5.2 to 1.5.3) this message is misleading.

Older versions / [1.5.3] Administrator can revoke own administrator privileges

Call it a feature - I call it a bug: As an administrator you can change your own(!) administrator status from "Yes" to "No".

I don't think that anybody will do this by purpose, but probably sometimes by mistake. So this should not be possible - or at least there should be BIG warning and confirmation dialogue.

Older versions / [1.5.3] Workspaces: Custom properties display bug

This bug is related to custom properties defined for workspaces.

1. The parameter "Visible by default" is not working properly: If you define one property visible and one property invisible, both are visible by default.

2. Custom properties are placed outside the border "Custom properties" (not depending on their visibility settings). See screenshot.

Ideas / Documents - Type column: More details please

If you make the column "Type" visible in the Documents list view it reads "file" for any document. There is no distinction between the sub-types (downloadable document, editable document, ZIP archive, link etc.). This might be improved.

1.4 final / Fatal error when zipping weblink

Go to the Documents section, select some files including at least one weblink, and click the "Compress" button in the toolbar. This leads to the following error:

In the blog post for OpenGoo 1.3 it reads: "Get charts on the dashboard comparing billing amounts by user."

Can anyone tell me how to get these charts? I don't understand how to do this.

1.3 final / Typo: Autoamtic upgrade

It says "Autoamtic upgrade" instead of "Automatic upgrade" in the Upgrade section of the admin panel.

1.2.1 / Fatal error with auto upgrade

While doing an automatic upgrade from 1.2.1 to 1.3 I encountered an error telling me that I was running PHP4, not PHP5. (This was actually true because my hosting provider is messing around whith my account currently.) So I corrected that in my php.ini, but now I'm getting an uggly DBQueryError telling me:

Query failed with message 'Unknown column 'default_billing_id' in 'field list''

Help please!

P.S. We should absolutely check the PHP version again before running the upgrading procedure!

1.2.1 / Printing tasks: Closed tasks no different from open tasks

When I'm printing my tasks list, all tasks look the same in print view, so I can't tell open tasks and closed tasks apart. Are others experiencing the same problem?

Feng Office 1 / Saving as task template forgets properties and linked files

When I'm in task detail view and click "Save as template", my new task template will loose the "Properties" and the "Linked objects" of the original task. (OpenGoo 1.0).

Feng Office 1 / "Send email notification to user": Settings not stored

When I switch off  "Send email notification to user" for a task and save, the next time I edit the task this option is checked again.

Feature requests / Issue tracker for OpenGoo development

This is not a feature request for OpenGoo itself but for it's development process: Submitting bugs by a forum is not ideal, neither for the submitter nor for the developer.

Why not make the introduction of a development platform part of your aim to become more structured after the release of version 1.0?
