The update process for this particular Feng Office installation worked fine for quite some time, so it's very unlikely that this is a firewall problem.

I wrote a little test script with a fopen command, and it seems that my server is able to connect to http://www.fengoffice.com/versions.xml

Any other ideas?

There is no possibility to enter an URL in the upgrade module of the administration interface. So how can it be wrong?

I tried to upgrade my Feng Office 1.6.2 installation to 1.7.0 using the "Upgrade" feature in the administration section, but it tells me that there is no new version available. Why?

Older versions / Bugs of the archiving function
« on: February 13, 2010, 09:47:12 am »
The following bug report has been to the wiki originally (see http://www.fengoffice.com/web/wiki/doku.php/archive#comment_0a364264b6ece2b1e64769058f6f0a5e)

Plotz, 2009-12-11 09:07

Before writing a chapter about archiving some things have to be fixed:

- the archive folder is missing in the workspaces list of milestones.

No chance to move any milestone to the archive by chanching the workspace.

- In “Actions” you'll find “move to trash”, not “move to archive”.

No chance to move any milestone to the archive by action.

Conclusion:

there is a workspace "archived objects" but no chance to move something in.

Should be fixed ASAP

Older versions / Re: 1.5 rc - tasks / milestones in wrong workspaces
« on: December 20, 2009, 05:39:50 pm »
Are you talking about the code line provided by alvarotm01?

Well, I didn't insert that code line. Since the bug was found in 1.5RC I expected it to be fixed in 1.5.3. Obviously it's not...  :(

How To's / Re: Are you using FCKedit? for your document editor

And did you switch to its successor CKEditor with OpenGoo 1.6?

How To's / Backup in Admin Panel gone?
« on: December 07, 2009, 06:55:41 pm »
When comparing the administration panel of OpenGoo 1.5.3 and 1.6 I realized that there is a new button "E-Mail Accounts", but the button "Backup" has gone. Why? Where?

How To's / Re: Sub task or link a task to a parent task
« on: December 06, 2009, 10:48:06 am »
I don't think that there is a difference. And sub tasks have due dates as well - simply click "More options..." to see the due date field.

With OpenGoo 1.5.3 I'm still having problems with milestones belonging to a different workspace than the task. But the problem seems to be limited to the quick edit form (inline editing in the task list), it does not exist in the full edit view.

Can anyone confirm this observation?

Older versions / [1.5.3] Automatic upgrade: Misleading confirmation message
« on: September 26, 2009, 05:19:58 am »
When you do an automatic upgrade you get the following confirmation message:

You already have upgraded to the latest possible version.

That sounds as if I had tried to upgrade without an upgrade being available. Since this was not the case (I did a regular upgrade from 1.5.2 to 1.5.3) this message is misleading.

Call it a feature - I call it a bug: As an administrator you can change your own(!) administrator status from "Yes" to "No".

I don't think that anybody will do this by purpose, but probably sometimes by mistake. So this should not be possible - or at least there should be BIG warning and confirmation dialogue.

Older versions / [1.5.3] Workspaces: Custom properties display bug
« on: September 26, 2009, 02:38:32 am »
This bug is related to custom properties defined for workspaces.

1. The parameter "Visible by default" is not working properly: If you define one property visible and one property invisible, both are visible by default.

2. Custom properties are placed outside the border "Custom properties" (not depending on their visibility settings). See screenshot.

Feature requests / Re: Custom Properties only in selected Workspace
« on: September 26, 2009, 02:18:35 am »
As far as I know the answer is no - custom properties belong to objects and are not related to workspaces.
