Ideas / Suggestion for reminders

I hope to be able to find the time to implement this easy one:
With email reminders the reminder options should include checkbox 'changes' checked by default.
By unchecking changes would mean the following reminder events do not exist:
o Changes
o Creation
o Deletion

I figure that some managers dont want to be bugged by every task, but if its due, or overdue or completed then that is an important reminder.

Older versions / 1.5.2 Add contact to existing user

This creates error:
go to Administration, Users, choose the existing user with no contact info, then under the Actions menu on the right, click More, then finally click "Create Contact with User Data".
Error: There is already a contact assigned to this user.

How To's / Anyone can open PDF within OG?

Has anyone managed to get mime type PDF to open within OG similar to Feng Office? If so, methods here please; assume its another php file and software change needed.

How To's / FIXED - avatars/icons not showing/visible

If you are using Firefox, or any browser with Adblock, turn off Adblock, refresh page and OG will be a new viewing experience! Simple, but logical. Also, you can set Adblock to ignore the page too.

Older versions / 1.5.2 Overview is still in your face

For example, I click on Email tag, Filter on a workspace, then click All (filter in left header) then Overview is brought to front on Email tab.

Older versions / SOLVED 1.5.2 show_html_mail.php doesnt exist

FIX HERE: Upgrade instructions did not advise to keep TMP directory which was needed for below operations. Thus upgrade instruction should say in para 3: but keeping these folders: config tmp upload



Very odd error due to fact after latest install of 1.5.2 even the backup directory version which worked perfectly before comes up with this Error (FileDnxError) below.

show_html_mail.php' doesn't exists

How To's / Confusion over version

Hi before I was having problems with a version in ROOT which was showing 1.5.2 on the statusbar. After reinstalling latest download, I now have it showing 1.5 beta 3 on statusbar, and reminders etc are all working nicely.
BUT I now get a message when in ROOT that there is a new version 1.5.2.

So the question is 1.5.2 a later version than 1.5 beta 3? and if so, why should beta 3 work more reliably than my previous 1.5.2?
1.5.2 problems:
No reminders being sent.
Overview in front of other tabs.
Email sometimes flakey.

How To's / Overinstall 1.5 beta 3 success but 'missing lang'

Very odd, I had installed same, but when log in as root the status bar was showing version 1.5.2. Now after overwriting again same method its showing 1.5 beta 3!

Reminder emails now work.

Wondering why when any event in calendar is set as reminder it reports 'success: missing lang' (I have modified site_interface.php line 220 to include    'mime type' => 'Type mime ',

Older versions / V1.5 beta 3

Im confused as to the versions as my statusbar shows 1.5.2 does this equal 1.5 beta 3?

As mentioned elsewhere by me and others with this version reminder mails are not being sent and thats with company defined and timed event on cron.php.

Also, previously mentioned OVERVIEW tab intrusively pops up on top of other tabs, eg Overview shows on Email tab.

Please confirm that Ver 1.5.2 is 1.5 beta 3?

Older versions / 1.5 Overview tab instantiates on other tabs

EG I will click on Email (or any other tab) and the Overview tab info will be displayed. If I click on Email again, usually the correct tab info will be displayed. However, when actioning items eg within calendar tab, Overview tab info may randomly appear. This is happening on two different machines running different o/s. It may be my install of OG too, but if anyone else has been experiencing this oddity, please report it here to confirm.

Applications / remote Debug PHP code?

Developers do any of you use a remote debug tool for when PHP code is running on server? If so, debugger recommendations (phpedit or?) please as I want to debug the mail modules and see whats causing some problems.

Installation problems / Upgrade to 1.4.1 from 1.4.2 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Just in case some havent found these here they are:
    Upgrade instructions
    ====================
   
    1. Backup you current installation (important!)
    2. Download OpenGoo 1.2.1 - http://www.opengoo.org/
    3. Unpack into your OpenGoo installation, overwriting your previous files and folders,
       but keeping your config and upload folders.
    5. Go to <your_opengoo>/public/upgrade in your browser and choose to upgrade from your current version to 1.2.1.
    6. Refresh your browser or clear its cache to load new javascript, css and images.

Hi I felt sure that V1.4.1 had the version # on the status bar but 1.4.2 doesnt.

Answer my own: 
Seems it is omitted in user login, but if you log in as Root its there - nice programming!

1.4 final / V141 Email POP3 get mail flakey

I know mail is in beta. But please keep an eye on this function as I see others have some problems too; however, most seem to have problems with SMTP, not POP.

What I'm finding here is that POP works intermittently; most of the time it says that 0 mails received, when in fact there are several on the server. Then all of a sudden, it works again and retrieves the mails. Since there's no error reported, there is no log of the event.

If I can help more, please let me know. I am a programmer too, only a little bit of PHP; mostly Delphi/ASM etc.
