Older versions / Re: 1.5.2 Overview is still in your face
« on: August 24, 2009, 05:09:56 pm »
Hi thats a Firefox problem when using Adblock, which probably is the most common Addon used! Unortunately, in its protection mode, it stops Youtube and others working. I just found out earlier that by allowing web sites (mine with OG) that many problems go. Now I see all icons, and some of the other problems go except for the Overview problem. I will set up temporary permissions for you on our website so you can see what I mean.
Will PM you later.
Cheers,
Alistair.

Ideas / Suggestion for reminders
« on: August 22, 2009, 07:12:17 pm »
I hope to be able to find the time to implement this easy one:
With email reminders the reminder options should include checkbox 'changes' checked by default.
By unchecking changes would mean the following reminder events do not exist:
o Changes
o Creation
o Deletion

I figure that some managers dont want to be bugged by every task, but if its due, or overdue or completed then that is an important reminder.
Cheers,
Al.

Ideas / Re: Roadmap 2009 needed, yes?
« on: August 21, 2009, 04:32:27 pm »
I think it would be great to have some sort of roadmap for opengoo. The idea of feature requests that could be voted up or down is a fantastic one!
Yes, seconded. After all OG is designed for project management, so it seems funny that development happens in a haphazard manner when the project being worked on is not meant to be haphazard!
As a developer myself, its annoying to be told by others what I should be doing, but it certainly does not hurt to listen, and if in being proactive, duplicate threads of development are avoided then thats all good. Jedmeister and others suggestions here make sense.

How To's / Re: e-mail send problem
« on: August 21, 2009, 04:16:43 pm »
I started out with that problem but made sure my smtp settings were correct. I am using a free mail server (mailenableit) My probram currently is getting an error message that it can't write the inbound and outbound email in the /upload folder.
If you have aleady checked that an /upload folder exists, then please check server write permissions on that folder and also please advise results. Thanks. Al.

Older versions / 1.5.2 Add contact to existing user
« on: August 21, 2009, 04:12:01 pm »
This creates error:
go to Administration, Users, choose the existing user with no contact info, then under the Actions menu on the right, click More, then finally click "Create Contact with User Data".
Error: There is already a contact assigned to this user.

Feature requests / Re: contacts module - send email from contact
« on: August 20, 2009, 10:43:21 pm »
but if you are using OG as your primary mail client, (typically) this won't be configured
Precisely the flaw i'm sure the devs will address soon ;)

Nuno..

When you are in OG mail compose, those members in contacts could also be available in the dropdown box adjacent the TO: item (IMHO). Currently TO field recalls previously used contacts whether created, or copied from Contacts, it does not include contacts.

How To's / FIXED - avatars/icons not showing/visible
« on: August 20, 2009, 05:55:49 pm »
If you are using Firefox, or any browser with Adblock, turn off Adblock, refresh page and OG will be a new viewing experience! Simple, but logical. Also, you can set Adblock to ignore the page too.

Older versions / 1.5.2 Overview is still in your face
« on: August 20, 2009, 01:37:26 am »
For example, I click on Email tag, Filter on a workspace, then click All (filter in left header) then Overview is brought to front on Email tab.
See video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hx9yhcYsw0 to view problem
Does anyone second that?
Cheers,
Alistair.

Older versions / SOLVED 1.5.2 show_html_mail.php doesnt exist
« on: August 19, 2009, 10:48:54 pm »
FIX HERE: Upgrade instructions did not advise to keep TMP directory which was needed for below operations. Thus upgrade instruction should say in para 3: but keeping these folders: config tmp upload

Very odd error due to fact after latest install of 1.5.2 even the backup directory version which worked perfectly before comes up with this Error (FileDnxError) below.

How To's / Confusion over version
« on: August 19, 2009, 03:46:10 am »
Hi before I was having problems with a version in ROOT which was showing 1.5.2 on the statusbar. After reinstalling latest download, I now have it showing 1.5 beta 3 on statusbar, and reminders etc are all working nicely.
BUT I now get a message when in ROOT that there is a new version 1.5.2.

So the question is 1.5.2 a later version than 1.5 beta 3? and if so, why should beta 3 work more reliably than my previous 1.5.2?
1.5.2 problems:
No reminders being sent.
Overview in front of other tabs.
Email sometimes flakey.
Thanks,
Al.

How To's / Overinstall 1.5 beta 3 success but 'missing lang'
« on: August 18, 2009, 09:44:12 pm »
Very odd, I had installed same, but when log in as root the status bar was showing version 1.5.2. Now after overwriting again same method its showing 1.5 beta 3!

Reminder emails now work.

Wondering why when any event in calendar is set as reminder it reports 'success: missing lang' (I have modified site_interface.php line 220 to include    'mime type' => 'Type mime ',

Older versions / V1.5 beta 3
« on: August 17, 2009, 05:04:23 pm »
Im confused as to the versions as my statusbar shows 1.5.2 does this equal 1.5 beta 3?

As mentioned elsewhere by me and others with this version reminder mails are not being sent and thats with company defined and timed event on cron.php.

Also, previously mentioned OVERVIEW tab intrusively pops up on top of other tabs, eg Overview shows on Email tab.

Please confirm that Ver 1.5.2 is 1.5 beta 3?

Thanks,
Al.

Announcements / Re: OpenGoo 1.5 beta 3 released!
« on: August 17, 2009, 04:58:32 pm »
Re previous mail stopped working; mail yesterday did not arrive, but it was there today, so it must have been a server problem for incoming mail/outgoing from OG. Reminders still not working here.
