Yes, but what im saying is that becomes a little bit tiresome doing it all the time, would be nice to have an option to display all tasks, without having to click on "Show More..."

Getting Started / Time off by an hour ?
« on: June 01, 2009, 11:20:53 am »
Im sure ive seen posts on this before, so sorry if this is a dupe.

Pretty straighforward really, say if I start work on a task at 10:30, its logged as 9.30 in OpenGoo, thats with my timezone set to GMT (thats where I am!)

Thanks

Pleased to help!

What is the chance of having an option next to this which would read "Show all tasks", I know its something I would find useful. I usually want to view all my tasks in a workspace, nut just a numbered subset of them.

1.4 final / My Language changed unexpectantly
« on: June 01, 2009, 11:16:09 am »
Sorry for lack of detail regarding this, but it's one of those things I done without really paying too much attention to what I was actually doing.

Basically, what I done was, went to try out the "Remember the user interface state" and then, I went to change some other options and noticed that the "Yes/No" 's had changed to something like "Ano/???" then I noticed the "Overview" tab text had changed, and it seemed when I changed view, ie went to the tasks view, all of the text changed (to czech I think!). Anyway, tried logging in/out etc... to no avail, eventually realised that my language was set to cs_cz.

What I imagine happened is, I went to the general preferences and for whatever reason it didnt read my langauges field so therefore didnt populate the field with "en_us" (or whatever numeric value it is in the database), and defaulted to the first one in the list (cs_cz),  then when I saved, it overwrote my "en_us" with "cs_cz".

Just for reference, this was done quite soon after updating to 1.4.1.

1.4 final / "Set number of tasks shown as default" do anything ?
« on: May 31, 2009, 09:14:19 pm »
In the "Task options" there is the option "Set number of tasks shown as default" which is defaulted to 8. I have tried changing this to various numbers, logging in and out etc... but I just dont see any difference.

I Presume this option is for when viewing tasks, in the "tasks" view, to display 8 or more tasks. As a side note, it would be nice if there was an option "Show all tasks" or something along those lines, so we see every task that there is.

Hi,

Sorry for taking so long to reply.

I am receving my e-mails from opengoo in Windows Mail (Vista), and Windows Mail always says that it is a phishing attack, even after i "Add sender to safe list".

Whenever I receive mail from opengoo in outlook, it always reports it to be a phishing attack. Ive tried adding sender to safe list, but it doesnt make any odds, any idead how I can get around this ?

Ideas / Tag Scope
« on: May 17, 2009, 02:55:00 am »
I dont know how anyone else feels, but I would find it useful to be able to specify the scope that tags are related to.

For example:
Global
Workspace Only
Workspace+Children

If you have a lot of workspaces and a lot of tags, I find myself getting a little bit overwhelmed with all the tags that are available to me.

I often find when I am in a workspace, I am wanting to use tags that really are only of any use in that paticular workspace - no others, say for example you have 10 workspaces, and each workspace has 10 tags, you now have 100 tags in you "Filter tags" list, and the majority of those tags are workspace specific (ie, not really relavent to your current workspace).

At the moment I am finding myself prefixing the tags name with the workspace's name to try and make things a bit more managable, but a) this is a workaround, not really a solution, b) I would imagine others would find this useful and may not think of the "work around".

It wouldnt have to be a problem for people who didnt want this feature, as current tags / new tags can just be added as "Global" (as they currently are), but tags could be assigned to a specific workspace during / after thier creation.

Thanks.

Feature requests / Company Departments
« on: May 16, 2009, 11:43:17 pm »
One of the things I would like to use OpenGoo for is personal planning, and keeping all my contacts organised weather they be friend or companies... whatever.

Now I know currently that you can add a contact to a company and a "Department" field is supplied, however you always have to enter a first and/or last name, which isnt always ideal for me.

Now take for example, say I have dealings with Tiscali and my local council, and there are departments in each of those companies that I phone quite regularlly but dont speak to anyone specific, just that department, I would like a way just to be able to see the departments of a paticular company.

For example, I could set it up like this :

+Tiscali
 + Technical Support
 + Business Broadband enquiries
 + etc...

+Council
 +Rent Department
 +Housing Department
 +Waste Collection Department
 +Environmental Department
 +etc...

It would be nice if this could be catered for in some way. At the moment I just fill in the first/last name, for example "Technical" + "Support" which works, but isnt ideal. It would also then be nice that if I am on the companies page, I get a expandable list for "Users", "Contacts" and "Departments".

Maybe it's me not using the application quite correct, or this may be a useful feature for others too, any opinions welcomed!

Thanks.

Feature requests / Re: Parent workspace show sub workspace content

I too think it would be nice to be able to have a toggle switch that would allow you to view current workspace + all sub-workspace content or just the current workspace's content.

Feature requests / Re: Tracking feature requests...
« on: May 16, 2009, 07:14:15 pm »
Also, it would be nice if there was a way for me to say that I am interested in feature xx, would then be nice if you could see how many people have an interest in a paticular feature, which in turn would help the development team see what are the most important features (according to the users) to add to OpenGoo.

Feature requests / Tracking feature requests...
« on: May 16, 2009, 07:07:50 pm »
Hi,

This is my first post on the forum, so im hoping I havent missed something completely obvious, but is there anywhere we (the user) can see what current features are actually being considered for a future release etc...

There are a few things that I would like to see implemented, but it's quite time consuming to see if the feature I want has actually already been suggested and may actually be in development.

Would be nice if we could have a sticky topic at the top "Feature Requests" which would list all requests, for example, it could be formatted something like :

(development) Feature Request 1
(noted) Feature Request 2
(refused) Feature Request 3
(completed) Feature Request 4

Feature Request 1
Here we have a more detailed description of this feature request.

Feature Request 2
Here we have a more detailed description of this feature request.

Feature Request 3
Here we have a more detailed description of this feature request.

Feature Request 4
Here we have a more detailed description of this feature request.

This is only a suggestion and may be more suited to some kind of online bug/development tracking software, but ultimately, whatever route is chosen, would be nice to be able to see what feature requests there are to see if what you want has already been suggested.

Thanks.ac
