Thanks steveg for your reply. We have also switched one account to POP a while back due to problems with imap. It's not ideal as the sent emails aren't synchronized and therefore not visible outside fengoffice.
I use Thunderbird to check/delete emails before downloading them in fengoffice. I have never really trusted fengoffice's email capabilities due to having had quite a few problems. Now we have a second account which lost it's imap function for no reason and on top the sync function doesn't work either. I like fengoffice and I really hope these issues are soon solved.

Hi, I have just realized that the sent e-mails are not getting synchronized anymore since about last August. I became aware of this as I cannot receive e-mails anymore from one of the 3 accounts (imap). When I download e-mails the amount is always 3 although there aren't any mails or if there are mails it's always plus the 3.

I tried to sync using the sync option in the Email accounts and I am receiving this error message: "Invalid synchronization settings. Cannot establish a connection with the server". I checked the settings and all seems to be okay, at least I can send e-mails. Test Email in Mailing settings is working as well and the "Enable IMAP synchronization when sending emails" is set to yes.

The message in the log.php is: "Session "default" started at 2015-04-24T00:53:26+0000
#1 ERROR: Error: imap_open() [<a href='function.imap-open'>function.imap-open</a>]: Couldn't open stream {name.mail.com:993/imap/ssl}INBOX.Sent in '/home/......./public_html/......../plugins/mail/application/helpers/MailUtilities.class.php' on line 1281 (error code: 2)
Time since start: 0.12400388717651 seconds"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have to re-open this post as the error message started to popup again. That's really annoying as I never know whether the e-mail has been sent or not. It looks like the e-mails are sent but I don't see theme in the sent folder.

Please I need to solve this problem. Any help is very appreciated.

Update:
I have three accounts, 1=pop3 and 2=imap. Only the pop3 account doesn't perform well (error message above). How can I switch safely a pop3 account to an imap account in fengoffice?

Hi, problem solved. Because I moved to a new host I had to fetch Imap folders and now everything is working fine again.

I turned debug on and I am getting the following error messages:

Hi, great software fengoffice - I love it. But I have a problem since updating to 2.5.1.2 with sending e-mails. I am getting the following message: "We are sorry, but Feng Office is not currently able to execute your request. An Error Report has been sent to the administrator". Funny the mails are sent anyway and it doesn't happen always (update: now it happens always).

I would be grateful for any help.

Hi fenger, just wanted to post the exact same issue as I have the same problem after upgrading from 2.3.1 to 2.5 and 2.5.0.1. Any solution?

Thanks for your reply - very appreciated. I would like to come back to this issue.

The emails suddenly downloaded again, don't ask me why and how, but since 3 days I am having the same problem again.

I have checked the settings in Thunderbird, emails are not getting deleted so I think it has nothing to do with thunderbird. I am having three e-mail accounts setup in fengoffice and two download without any problems. I have had a look at the data tables and new mails for the third account don't show up. The settings for all three accounts are identical and I am not getting any error message.

Do you have any idea/suggestion how to get to the root of this problem?

Update: Tested POP3 and it collects e-mails without problems. Still IMAP not working though.

Hello, I am using the latest FO and have never had any problems since a few days ago. I usually view (imap) emails first with thunderbird to clean out all the junk/spam and then download the mails to fengoffice from where I organize/answer all the mails.

Suddenly I can't download mails after they have been downloaded first with thunderbird. I can download fine with fengoffice if no download was done with thunderbird. Never had this problem before.

Any idea/help would be very appreciated.
