Well August 28, 2014 is coming up fast. Is this feature yet implemented? If not you still have time ;)

Ideas / Re: Quick way to add Weblinks
« on: July 24, 2010, 04:27:52 pm »
hmmn... with a FF plugin, how would the system know what workspace to assign it to? and if it added the weblink without assigning it to a workspace, then you would have to go into your weblinks tab anyway and assign them...

As I mentioned, my bookmarks service, Netvouz.com, does this rather well with a browser plugin. And it has categories and tags as well, so it could work the same way. Click on "Add to Netvouz" and it takes you to a netvouz add link page, with the link already entered (editable if you want), select the category from a pulldown, enter any tags, click Ok and there it is. Super quick.

Often it can be corruption in some file in the /Themes/default/languages/ folders, you could try to re-upload those.

Karl, there's a couple of things you can check. First, change your Profile, Account Related Settings to English and see if that fixes it. Unless they fixed the forum after your post, it is working fine for me right now. I assume you tried deleting your cookies & cache?

If it is still not fixed for you and others, it could be a forum problem, admin has to make sure /Themes/default/languages/index.english.php is there and correct, otherwise might have to do a repair_settings (after a backup of course). Oh and if there was some recent addition to the forum, undo that first to see if it fixes it. But like I said, I'm not seeing that message so it could be your login.

cheers

I"m not aware of such a thing, but if it does exist perhaps someone will post their tool or technique.

I'm just telling you what's available. If you want help, don't kill the messenger.

have you tried going to admin, users and just remove all the permissions a user has from workspaces? Or reset their password.

How To's / Re: Archiving?
« on: May 12, 2010, 02:12:07 pm »
Think of it this way, if you complete a year-long project and have no more need to have all the documents, tasks and associated materials clogging up your work space, you archive them to get them out of the way.

You could put this in as a feature request.

1. To be fair, you and I don't see when others report spam, unless you are a moderator/admin.
2. Painful! In fact there are 4 new spam emails in Getting Started, but that would take me > 2 minutes to report, so I'm going to stop reporting spams, I just don't have the time.

I'm still pretty certain many of these are not bots but humans, or possibly just the sign up process is humans, which is why all the captchas and anti-bot registration plugins don't always work. Assume this is the case to be more successful in catching these.

Ideas / Re: Internal messaging system instead of email

I only use 1 email account within Feng for notifications, that's it. It's like trying to replace your spreadsheet with a napkin & pencil.

Feature requests / Viewing Document suggestion
« on: April 30, 2010, 02:39:42 am »
When viewing an HTML document, you can click on the (+) to view the document maxed which fills the pane. However, all the Actions disappear. So for instance, just closing the document after reading is an extra click. Is it possible to display some or all of the Action icons across the top right, including Close?

So instead of just seeing (-), you would instead see:

(-) [Close] [Download] [Checkout] [Edit] [Update] [Trash] [Copy] [History]
