Feature requests / Re: Auto-expanded Subtasks lists
« on: April 22, 2011, 08:27:14 am »
Hi fengy,

if you want to modify the script by yourself, this might help:

ROOT\public\assets\javascript\og\tasks\drawing.js
    function ogTasks.expandCollapseAllTasksGroup

Development / Re: Modify Email Notification
« on: April 21, 2011, 03:47:17 am »
Hi all,
after changing an event, i get the email notification.
I'd like to modify its subject and message. I'd like to add the date of the event to the subject and message part.
You find all notifcation templates in
ROOT\application\views\notifier

Quote
Can someone tell me what file8s) i have to modify and if/how i can access the events date value?
Quick look: ROOT\application\controllers\EventController.class.php -> getData might be helpful for you.

Getting Started / Re: Bulk Create users
« on: April 21, 2011, 03:26:48 am »
Hey CheezItMan

You might be able to derive your app from post
http://forums.fengoffice.com/index.php?topic=2297.msg18408#msg18408
and the attached LDAP.patch file regarding which columns and tables have to be touched.

Best to check function <fillInFromLdap>

Thanks a lot for your effort!
Please keep in mind, that fengOffice community would appreciate to have something in php/JS to patch it.

How To's / Re: File/Document Name - Maximum number of Characters?
« on: April 18, 2011, 03:19:17 am »
Hi Robin,

no source code, but table-definition in DB:

Code: [Select]
og_project_files -> filename -> varchar(100)
There might be some modification in layout applicable, but not necessary (ROOT/application/views)

Can't find if feng manage related tasks.
I need to have a dependency for some tasks, that can't be executed if another tasks is not complete.
Not in terms of project-management (predecessor, successor)

I can't neither find a method to order tasks... when I add many tasks feng use the alphabetical order to manage them in the list... any way to order? I need them in a logical order, thanks...
What kind of 'logic'? I guess you mean chronological sequence of activities.

Quick suggestion:
You can either employ the 'sort feature' on tasknames and start the task title with numeraries or choose 'due date' as sort criteria.

The 'Group'-feature might also help to structure a tasklist.

How To's / Re: Groups usage
« on: April 14, 2011, 08:28:30 am »
Hi gain,

as far as I know: You can not

A Group does not have the same "level of  features", as a User or a Company has.

I've played a bit with a new ObjectClass "WorkingGroups" to have the same features available as Users or Companies have, but it's a lot of work!!

And as long as there is no roadmap published, where I can estimate, whether my effort goes down the trash next version or not, I won't go further on.

Installation problems / Re: Problem whit time in calender
« on: April 13, 2011, 05:59:40 am »
Hi Markus63,

i guess you have to check the timezones of all of your users.

First see following setting:
Code: [Select]
Administration->Users->Update profile->Timezones->Auto-detect
That normally helps.

Hallo Peter,
bei mir funktioniert der Export, eingeschränkt auf die selbst erstellten Termine. Hab grad keine Zeit, im Code nachzusehen, aber ich denke, da gibt es eine Einschränkung auf  <User=Owner>

Installation problems / Re: It is IMPOSSIBLE to install !!!!!
« on: April 05, 2011, 05:07:02 am »
I end up trying to install the community edition – because you people don’t want the hassle of helping you customers to get answers to questions like: Is it possible to run this on my server ?

The equivalent is to bye a new shirt, but the person selling you the shirt tells you that you can not try it on to see if it fits you – until after you pay for it. How many shirts do you think this stupid person is going to sell??

Boy, if you have got the community version of FengOffice, "you got your shirt to try" whether it fits or not. But for many posts - with less respect to readers then expected -  you have hassled to try to tell us, why the shirt does not fit.

We all know now, that your shirt does not fit. But please tell us - in a proper way - whats wrong with your shirt on your body, because the shirt fits to a lot of other people.

The success of communication depends on the sender ... and not on the receiver. Choose your word carefully!
