Feng Office 3 / How to Upgrade 3.x - to 3.x
« on: December 17, 2014, 06:38:19 pm »
This may be a little early but I seem to have gone in and downloaded and installed the 3.0-beta.  I see that 3.0-rc2 is available now.  I've searched the Wiki and can't see anything about upgrading. 3.0.  I unfortunately have a lot of data in there already that I'd prefer not to lose but I feel I should likely upgrade from the -beta version.

I was thinking about just replacing he files but that's probably a bad idea.  I've backed everything up so I "could" try it unless there are steps I can follow to upgrade properly.  I'm on a shared server on Bluehost and I can perform some shell commands but not all.

Feng Office 3 / How can I completely hide Time
« on: December 17, 2014, 03:23:41 pm »
I'm using Feng 3.0-beta

The problem I have is that I need to completely hide all Time entries from clients.  We use Feng as our internal time tracker and we also assign IDs to clients so they can post to tasks, add notes and upload/download task related documents.  We do not however want clients to see our time inputs in any way.

I can edit permissions so that they do not have the time module and so that they do not see any time in the detailed task view BUT, the problem is that on the Task List view, they still are able to select the Show: estimated time, pending time and worked time - and this time data shows up in the list view.

We charge for projects on a flat rate basis and do not want clients to know how much time we have logged against the project.

I've tried various User Types and permission settings but they all show the time in the Task List view no matter what the permissions.

I suspect I need to edit feng/application/views/task/task_list.php or task_list_row.php or view_tasks.php  but if someone could help get me started I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Ray

@tverdouw  - just a quick note of thanks.  I'm using 3.0-beta and those fixes worked for me!

I realize this post is old but it's never too late to thank someone.

Here's quick note of extreme thanks to darkbalder.  I couldn't get the diff-patch to work so I updated all the files manually.  Works like a charm!  1.7.5 fresh install.  Many many thanks.
