Feng Office 3 / Re: How do you like Feng Office 3?

Well on curved edges I think its just they attract more attention to the rest of the navigation at the top so you give more focus to that because its the only thing that is curved.

On the bug I didn't have any further info than what you have sent on.

Cheers

Great Job.

I'm currently a casual user of feng office. I have tried out the new build works very well. Great improvements all round. one tiny tiny suggestion the button for minimize/maximize left hand panel uses a border-radius which as you may notice makes it harder to click if you click bottom right of it. I don't know if it even needs to be curved. as apparently curved edges just take more cognitive processing anyway :)

other than that only compliments.

One problem was I couldn't get google calendar sync to work just like this person on version 2.xx http://forum.fengoffice.com/index.php?topic=19131.msg38477#msg38477 maybe google have changed something. I don't know if this requires any special server setup.

upon saving google info. it displays this message "Information: Check your account" as if to say wrong info. but google mentions that there has been a connection from that app password.

Hope this helps.

I did this a while ago when there was no warning of installing a beta wouldn't work.

Installation problems / 1.7.5 Recovering from 2.0 Beta
« on: February 14, 2012, 04:12:15 pm »
I've managed to lock myself out of my current 1.7.5 installation with the 2.0 beta installation.

I did this a while ago when there was no warning of installing a beta wouldn't work.

Is there an easy way to get back to 1.7.5 or get 2.0 beta working by manually converting / creating some database tables?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Sam

I can not get the upgrade to work from 1.7.5 due to missing table

I have submitted a bug report if you require any more info I will try and reply promptly for testing.

Community Contributions / Re: Added tasks to iCalendar export
« on: March 31, 2011, 08:34:48 am »
Thanks for this great little mod!  :)

Do you think it would be possible to have an option that converts tasks to compatible events? Just either use the end date of a task or both if possible.

I know Google calendar isn't the best for feeds its the only way currently ( I know ) of keeping sync on an android phone unless other people know of a better method currently available?

Could this make it into Feng office and with tasks converted to events?

I think it this would make a very handy feature for people tracking off mobile devices.

So when loading the documents section. the following error is displayed.

Fatal error: Call to a member function getUsername() on a non-object in /application/controllers/FilesController.class.php  on line 1344

I can only assume that a document is associated with a certain deleted user in one way or another so the system has thrown an error and won't display the document list. i know that when displaying a workspace that doesn't contain this document the list displays fine. let me know if you need me to do further investigation.

Many thanks

Still using this great system would it be possible to implement this simple function for people in the UK?

This PHP function will let you know if we are currently in British Summer Time.

Much appreciated!

Feature requests / 1.3 Testing
« on: February 25, 2009, 02:06:44 pm »
Its damn good!! I couldn't wait so I am using it on production site. Luckily i can restore tables on my server easily.

I'm just going to dump all my input here (I hope you don't mind. I'll break it up otherwise) and the bugs that I found. forgive me if i say anything that is already in the pipe.

Also I can setup some server space for you to see on a dreamhost server so you can do checks because I have a few issues that you guys maybe don't see.

Billing Feature
-Allows defining hourly rates for users and workspaces.
Do you think one user may charge more for different jobs deppending on what that requires from them. So that he may have multiple rates to choose from? One for a future version maybe?

Reporting ->Total task execution
Currently it works out in the the total hours worked still includes task pause time!
but doesn't assign the rate yet so just pulls back $ 0 for all the billing values. I hope we get £ at some point  ;)

Tasks
Budget field? some clients agree to a price at the start so while its nice to have the cost worked up by the system do you think the budget could be included as a task then you can see if your going over budget etc...

I assume budget field would sit next to the billing field in the report but would always be using the budget field as the primary data
Buget | Billing
$999  | $800

Tasks -> Milestones
when in a milestone. Its about as useful as the front page tasks at the moment. I think it would be useful to pull out

-hours worked out of each task (maybe with estimate time if applied)
-total milestone hours
-be able to preview description text on hover or all sorts of info? (this could be everywhere really)
-I'm sure the tasks could be formatted better like the task page.

Task Bug
Also my tasks Tab started giving an error (sorry i forget the number) and not appearing so i took a guess and restored the 'og_user_ws_config_option_values' table. its working again now. but maybe this needs to be a feature of reverting to default settings in case it happens again?

1.2 / Cron and Reminder issues
« on: February 18, 2009, 11:56:58 am »
on Dreamhost navigating to /cron.php in the browser works fine and completes the jobs but Upon settings up the cron job for the server to a I get a:
----------
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home/.server/user/goo.domain.com/cron.php on line 17
----------
cron.php #17
->   $errordate = DateTimeValueLib::now()->add("m", 30);
----------

also on notifications that do come through the subject is like this in the email.

"Shmuelios - <span style="font-weight: bolder; color: red;">Missing lang: due task</span>"

Cheers,

Sam

Feature requests / Cost / Budget Field in Tasks
« on: January 21, 2009, 12:11:30 pm »
I feel that some sort of Cost/Budget/Final Cost (or what ever you want to call it) field for a task is an important piece of data to have.

Then at least you can keep track of these things over time. Maybe include the data in the reporting area and calculate hours worked / money made for said client. If you do the same job again then you have something to look back at. so you know weather the job is worth doing. Then you can make better judgement and charge the right price.

If this is considered as just a simple addition then it could be expanded much later on.

Thanks for your time.

Feng Office 1 / A Couple of Bugs (Companies/Reporting)
« on: January 21, 2009, 11:33:49 am »
Loving the speedy updates!

v1.2 beta

1. Companies currently are not listed in View-> View all or Companies.

2. Reporting
I know this is still in Dev
Reporting -> Total task execution time.
This includes task pause time as well as task time.

3. Can't find the spreadsheets module bit yet (I don't mind waiting just didn't seem to come through for me)

Thanks
