Feng Office 3 / No more custom properties for workspaces and users
« on: December 28, 2015, 01:39:29 pm »
Hi,

We are using FengOffice 1.7 and we're studying the upgrade to the last version (3.4 through a fresh install).

I can't find how to add custom properties for workspaces and users and we actually use this feature.

Regards,

Fred

Feng Office 3 / Import opened tasks from old version
« on: November 19, 2015, 10:59:37 am »
Hi,

We are using Feng Office 1.7.5 and plan to move to the last version. This is an old dream, andI already opened a post on this.

I tried to upgrade the current version but it took so long (more than 5 days) because we have many tasks (actually more than 12.000 with 10 to 100 comments for each and the result was not really good.

So I had an other idea : strat with a fresh installation and import the opened tasks only (we don't need the other ones). Is this possible ?

Thank you,

Regards,

Fred

Feng Office 3 / FengOffice 3 very slow compared to 1.7
« on: April 16, 2015, 10:27:34 am »
Hi,

After upgrading to 3.1.3, I noticed that Feng Office is very very slow and almost unusable for us (we have about 12.000 tasks).

When watching at MySQL log, to display tasks in a specific workspace (whci contains many other workspaces and a lot of tasks), here is the number of requests I have:

1.7.5 : 750 queries (mostly of the type Query   SELECT * FROM `og_workspace_objects` WHERE `object_manager` = 'ProjectTasks' AND `object_id` = 8600)

3.1.3 : 5400 queries (mostly complex requests whith joins)

You will find logs in attachment.

Regards,

Fred

Feng Office 3 / Re: Upgrade from 1.7.5 to 3.1 ?
« on: April 15, 2015, 11:44:40 am »
I tried to upgrade by installing 2.7.1.6 and after almost 24h, I have the following error :

PHP Fatal error:  Call to a member function getId() on a non-object in /var/www/FengOffice/releases/2.7.1.6/public/upgrade/complete_migration.php on line 128

It just remains less that 900 objects on a total of almost 120.000 items and I can't finish the migration.

Afterinvestigating in the code and the database, it seems that there is no corresponding record on fo_project_tasks on the following request (called from $cobj = Objects::findObject($obj);) :

SELECT `id`, `object_type_id`, `name`, `created_on`, `created_by_id`, `updated_on`, `updated_by_id`, `trashed_on`, `trashed_by_id`, `archived_on`, `archived_by_id`, `object_id`, `parent_id`, `text`, `assigned_to_contact_id`, `completed_on`, `due_date`, `start_date`, `completed_by_id`, `order`, `milestone_id`, `started_on`, `priority`, `state`, `started_by_id`, `assigned_on`, `assigned_by_id`, `time_estimate`, `is_template`, `from_template_id`, `from_template_object_id`, `repeat_forever`,
`repeat_end`, `repeat_num`, `repeat_d`, `repeat_m`, `repeat_y`, `repeat_by`, `object_subtype`, `percent_completed`, `use_due_time`, `use_start_time`, `original_task_id`, `type_content`
                FROM `fo_project_tasks` INNER JOIN `fo_objects` o
                ON o.id = `fo_project_tasks`.object_id
                WHERE `object_id` = '1446'

Do you have any idea on how to correct this ?

Thank you for your help,

fred

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.

I tried to upgrade directly to 3.1 on a test server.
The upgrade worked fine at the begining, upgrading versions sucessfully until 2.4.1 where I got the following message :

...
Feng Office has been upgraded. You are now running Feng Office 2.1 Enjoy!
...

2015-04-13 17:09:24 - Starting upgrade to 2.4.1
Upgrade script has connected to the database.

What's strange is that version 2.4.1 doesn't seem to be available on Sourceforge.

I'm going to try to upgrade to last 2.x first and then upgrade to 3.x

How To's / Subscribers on task template not working
« on: January 31, 2014, 12:31:25 pm »
Hi,

I'm trying to configure a template on Feng 1.7.5 with a single task.
Everything works fine excepted that I can't keep subscribers on the task created fom template.

Here is how I did :

I created a new task, added subscribers and clicked on  Add to template.
On the new template, I added parameters and assigned the taks to a user.

When someone wants to use this template, a new task is correctly created and assigned, but noone is subsribed to this new task.

Am I missing nothing ?

Thanks for your help,

Regards,

Fred

How To's / Re: Purge old tasks
« on: January 09, 2014, 12:47:08 pm »
Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I gave a try to the filter, and it works fine, excepted that it sent a notification to every suscriber of every tasks sent to trash which is a big problem when we do that on thousands of tasks ...

Frederic

How To's / Purge old tasks
« on: January 08, 2014, 12:16:20 pm »
Hi,

Is there anyway to automatically purge the database (and associated files) of old tasks on a regular interval ?
for example, I would like to remove every month all closed tasks older than 2 years.

I'm using Feng Office 1.7.2 but can upgrade to last release if necessary.

Thanks for your help.

How To's / How to spécify work hours per day ?
« on: January 02, 2014, 06:03:01 am »
Hi,

I'm actually testing the demo of Feng Office to switch from community to enterprise for Gantt Chart.

I do have a problem however : when I specify an estimated work time of 40 hours for a task, it appears in Gantt chart as 40 consecutive hours (a little less than 2 days), whereas we are only working 8h/day.
Gantt Chart should then display a 5 days long bar. It also seems to not take into account the non-working days (saturday and sunday).

Is this a bug or do I miss soemthing in the adminsitration tab to correct this ?

Thanks for your help,

Fred

Hello,

I'm using Feng 1.7.5 and just started to use custom properties.

I created a custom property (type = list) and checked the "Required" and "Visible by default?" checkboxes.

When I edit a task, If my property is left empty, I have a warning saying that this property is required => that's ok.

but when I add a new task using the link "Add task' on the tasks list of someone, I can create task without filling this custom property (as it is not displayed on the screen). I have to clic on "More options" Then "all options".

Is ther any way to check that required custom properties are not empty even if there are not displayed on the simple form to create a task ?

Thank you for your help,

Best regards,

How To's / Multiline in text property in task template
« on: November 16, 2010, 11:34:48 am »
Hello,

Is it possible to set a multiline text property when creating a task template ?

For exemple, I would like to have something like this :

Name of fist field : {value of first field}
Name second field : {value of second field}

But every time I save my template, all lines are merged into a unique line :

Name of fist field : {value of first field} Name second field : {value of second field}

I tried using html (<br/>, <table>, \n,\r, without success.

Is there any way to do this (even by modifying php code) ? I'm using feng Office 1.7.2.

Thanks for your help,

Fred
