Feature requests / Re: WYSIWYG HTML editor for Task, and Note
« on: September 21, 2011, 12:27:24 pm »
Dear Nitin, I'd be interested in high level instructions about how you did this.
Thanks,
Willie.

We at Velocity have integrated CKEditor and its working very well. If you want help regarding the same please let me know.

We are planning to write an instruction manual for the community. The only catch is - you will not be able to auto-upgrade Feng Office as that would replace the files where you would have made the changes.

Since this was done only for ourselves we have not tried to create a plugin for FengOffice. If we get some community sponsorship we may start the work on making a plugin.

Getting Started / Tasks ordering
« on: March 19, 2011, 05:34:14 pm »
Hi everyone. I am testing feng office with great results so far. Yes there are more sexy interfaces nowadays, like smartsheet, but the metaphor that Feng Office uses is still to me the most "natural" for my work.

I have a question though, in relation to tasks. I would like to have some ordering on tasks, as if they were dependencies. So far, the best method that I found was to use the old school WBS numbering at the beggining of the task  title, as in

010 - Project kickoff
020 - Agree project management methodology

And then I can use subtasks and repeat as necessary.  This way I can move tasks around by renaming the first part of the title, not that difficult to do really.

However I am wondering if there are any other was to manage tasks ordering and dealing with dependencies?

Best regards,
Willie
