Getting Started / I need to compile on my own?

I was directed to opengoo as a suggestion for online collaboration and composing. Looks like a lot of good stuff.
As a non-techie, though, I can't quite figure out what to do with the files I downloaded. No executibles equals no clue for folks like myself.
Is there somewhere I can get a WinXP version that will work without further compilation, or am I out of luck?
