Development / We really need invoicing:(
« on: December 06, 2010, 01:06:38 am »
It's obvious the "invoicing" thread is dead.

I really don't understand why some people keep bringing up that it matters which country you are in.

This is NOT true.  Bamboo invoice doesn't have this problem, neither does simple invoice.  It doesn't matter the country/tax system if it's designed right.

Please add this feature!

Older versions / Compressing documents sometimes makes empty files
« on: March 04, 2010, 05:03:08 am »
Sometimes when I compress multiple documents, the result is an empty .zip.

I am considering just "archiving" instead, with the archive feature, but I don't know whether or not that compresses or not?

How To's / Documents - archive feature, what does it do?
« on: March 02, 2010, 03:58:16 am »
I'm trying to think of a way to put old files for workspaces out of the way but keep them in case I need them.

I decided to archive them, but does this compress them at all?  If not, what's the point of archiving?

Also, I started zipping some of them with the compress feature, but it sometimes makes blank .zip files!

Is there any way to do invoicing with feng office yet, or use another program that integrates with it?

Older versions / 1.5 final has no backup feature???
« on: August 02, 2009, 06:31:18 pm »
Am I missing something?  I upgraded to 1.5 final, logged in as admin, and went to administration and "Backup" is no longer something listed there.

How do you backup?

Older versions / cron backup not working?
« on: June 17, 2009, 06:56:09 am »
It seems that cron backup is not working, as I set it for 7 days but it has been over a month since it created something in the tmp/backup dir.

Also, can I change the dir it backs up to?

Thanks!

How To's / Allowing admins to backup?

Is there any way to allow administrative users to do backups instead of having to log in as actual admin user?

How To's / 1.2 is supposed to support cron job for backup, but does not?
« on: February 16, 2009, 03:37:45 pm »
Logged in as admin, went to administration/cron, backup is not listed here(but is listed under admin).

I want to set up a cron job to have a backup once a week and save it locally(is that possible, as I'm running this on my local webserver).

i.e.
Once a week, create backup and save to /opengoo/

however, obviously each backup would have to have a unique name.

From the readme, this is supposed to be possible, but looking under cron, it seems not to be????

Feng Office 1 / long initial load time when accessing 1.1 remotely
« on: January 22, 2009, 01:36:06 am »
Great program,

I have a problem when I initially connect to 1.1 remotely.  It has the "loading" dialogue for a long time, sometimes several minutes.  After it finishes, everything works quickly and easily.

Any ideas?

How To's / Accessing opengoo locally and remotely
« on: December 09, 2008, 10:59:42 pm »
I'm having a problem in that I prefer to use http://localhost/? when I access it locally, but then I have a problem accessing through the internet.

How do I configure opengoo to work with localhost and over the internet correctly?

How To's / Using opengoo with a small law practice?
« on: November 24, 2008, 03:36:14 pm »
I was wondering if anyone had any pointers about using opengoo as a law practice.

Specifically,
1.Keeping a list of clients
2.Tracking time spent on work for clients
3.Whether or not a project is completed for a client.

I am guessing generating an invoice is outside the purview of opengoo, but the only other thing I was wondering about is tracking costs associated with a client.
