How To's / Increase the latest activity list v 1.7.5

When we view a user, it seems only three activities appear below. When we hit all activities, it times out because we're on a crappy host.

Where would I modify the code to make it show, maybe the last 20 or 50 things?

Feng Office 2 / Add user to company, doesn't show in company card

I can create new contacts and include their company name from the drop down, and in the people pane, they show up under the company. But when viewing the company card, they don't show up when you expand people or users.

Also, people is lowercase and it bothers me.

It seems that every time I add a new person, it creates a new executive user. I thin that I uncheck that the person WON'T be using feng.

How To's / [Solved] Disappearing email

I realize I will not have a lot of look and see to troubleshoot here, but it seems a handful of emails are gone.

I just recently decided to integrate email in Feng, and there were a few building up, but now there are only the new ones, but emails from last week are gone.

Even if I go to all workspaces to make sure they're not misplaced, there are still only a few.

Could I be missing something?

How hard would it be to add a "Create Task" button while viewing any object, particularly Company, Contact, Event, etc. and automatically have it linked to the object?

I've tried every configuration of sending mails, but I keep failing on send and it says

We're on 1and1 host, who says they shouldn't have any conflict with Swift Mailer.

How To's / New email grabs lots of contacts, but doesn't create draft

I set up an email and when I click New Email, I get the Back button and the whitespace below is populated with dozens of contacts, but it is not editable and there are no tools for writing the email.

It seems to be grabbing Company names separated by commas.

I managed to create dimensions directly in the database, but I'm not sure how to create a context. And it seems you can't do anything until you do.

Feature requests / Remove contact from workspace, keep others

When moving an object, the choices are "Keep in existing workspaces" which essentially copies the object to the new workspace, and "Remove from all workspaces" after which it will only be in one workspace.

It would be greatly beneficial to be able to move a contact from on workspace to another, and keep the others. So when an object is dragged, the options might be:

  • Copy to workspace
  • Move to workspace, keep others
  • Move to workspace, remove from all others

General Discussion / WordPress and Feng Community

Has anyone ever tried to link the authentication between the two? With a WordPress website and FO for project management, it would be great to have one login even though the interface doesn't need to merge.

I imagine if they're on the same webspace, both using PHP/MySQL, it should be possible, but I don't know how complicated it would be.

Feature requests / Action required count in workspaces

Would it be possible to have an option for each workspace to be prefixed or suffixed with a number that indicates number of a) new items, b) tasks that are due or something else?

It would be nice to be able to drag a workspace to a different sort order. Otherwise alphabetical is fine.
