Ideas / Day Planning

Hi all,

There are several ways in which FengOffice (still have to get used to the new name ...) is different (read: better) then most other Applications, but I the next feature might be another step to make FO a better app:

Everyday, I add tasks to my workspaces and everyday I work on some of them, but it is very hard to make the schedule for a day ... It is something else to have a tasklist and do the dayplanning ;-)

First off all I'd like to ask if there is any enthousiasm. Is there is any buzz around this, we can discuss how the layout might be, no?

Older versions / Checkin HTML-document

Hi,

Yesterday I made a very nice HTML-document and when I was finished, I tried to check it in the right way. This gave me some troubles ... I HAD to upload another file, while I couldn't because my file was allready in OpenGoo. The problem was solved by clicking on "in use", but there was a new revision made ...

How can this be solved?

A possible solution might be to:

• Check if the extension is "html"
• If so, when I try to check-in, I don't HAVE to upload a new file.

Older versions / Strange position of "Close"

Hi,

I have a file in OpenGoo and when I look at the file, the position of the Close "button is little out of place.
The strange thing though: It doesn't seem to happen with any other file. So, no big problem, but just strange.

While typing this message I "discovered" why the strange behaviour happened:
When you attache an object with a long name to the (or a) file, you will see this behaviour also. Am I correct?

How can I solve the problem? Changing the name of the object isn't an option ...

Older versions / Problem when changing workspace permissions

Hi,

When I try to edit the user permissions on a new workspace, there is something wrong:

I made a new workspace
Before saving, I'd like to give another user permissions.
When I check the checkbox in front of the 2nd users', there doesn't come any permissions to check. Even when I wait a while (maybe server slow ...), there doesn't come anything.
When I save everything, and edit the workspace again, I can change the permissions.

Does anyone recognize this problem? How can I solve it?

1.4 final / Error while checking emails

Hi,

When I check my emails I get this error:

Fatal error: Nesting level too deep - recursive dependency? in /home/koko/office.go-online.be/www/environment/classes/mail/MailUtilities.class.php on line 379

Even in the "all" workspace, I get this error.

Can anyone give me a clue on how to fix this?

1.4 final / Viewing HTML-file gives error

Hi,

I use OpenGoo pretty intense and I almost found solutions for everything, but not for the next thing:

When I try to watch a file I made with the Documents-module, I get an error:
Error
We are sorry, but OpenGoo is not currently able to execute your request. An Error Report has been sent to the administrator.

I have no idea why this happens. First I thought it happened while updating, but this doesn't seem the reason.

Does anyone have this problem too? Does anyone know hoe to solve this?

Feature requests / Suggestions for contacts

Hi,

I'm a happy user of OpenGoo as told some times allready, but i also have some ideas/suggestions. The first I'd share are these two about contacts:

I think it would be usefull to be able to keep a kind of log of actions you have with contacts. This feature would exist of some parts:

• Tima and date when the action was taken
• What kind of action it was (email, sms, phoncall, ...)
• A short description of the action
• The person who undertakes the action

The ultimate extra would be to be able to plan actions and get it appear in the calendar (almost like tasks, no?)

The second suggestion I'd like to make, is to be able to put relationships between contacts and companies. This way, you can better build your network I think.

Hopefully those features will make is to the roadmap 

PS How is the release cycle organised? What is the schedule? How can I help on the project? (I'm not a scripter, but more a man of thinking concepts and Project Management)

1.3 final / [Calender] problem going to next + Suggestion for synchronization

Hi all,

I've setup OpenGoo 1.3.1 to use in my (small  ) company.
When experimenting with the calender, I encountered a problem:
I can't go to the next or previous month/week/day. Does anyone else has this problem? How can I solve this?

A suggestion to make the calender better:
It would be awesome to be able to synchronize the calender with Thunderbird (e-mails seems not to work in Opengoo) and my cellphone (SE P1i)
