I thought that was odd as well.  I know what I wrote, I need to know what everybody ELSE wrote.

Nice post PixelProdigy.  That would be a great way to reduce clicks and increase knowledge without hitting overload as ignacio  pointed out.

Ideas / send email to create a task
« on: January 26, 2009, 10:00:12 pm »
We have no plans of ever moving away from our email system and putting it within opengoo.  It's not that we dont trust it, it's just that we have our system setup in a very specific way and it works excellent for us.  Moving it to Goo would not make sense.

Now, that being said, with some other systems we have enjoyed the ability to compose a email and send it to our task manager and it converts it into a task.

So, if the admin needs me to do something, he sends a email to a specific email address, and it pops up as a properly formatted task within Goo.  This works great for the people who like to task out jobs in the bathroom with their phone, or on the road.  :D

That's just something we would like to see someday.

I am not sure if this would be easier or harder, but even a notice in the dashboard area would be good.

When I complete a task I want my boss/supervisor/whoever to know I accomplished the task.

How To's / Email completed task

I have used literally 90% of the task managers out there, paid or otherwise, and I am happy to say this one fits our companies needs the best so far.  You should be very proud of your system.

Anyhow...
I am not sure if I am missing this setting or if it does not exist.  Can I set it so when a  user closes a task out I get a email saying the task was completed?

thanks.
