Nice example and useful replies.

Can this be stickied. Be useful for new developers, like me :)

Getting Started / Re: "Sharing" calendar events

Hi,

Each user has their own space, marked as personal. If you create a section called public and add each staff member as a sub work space.

Or create a section called "general office" and put workspaces in there. Each section could be areas like projects etc. Give all the users access to a group called "staff". Add the staff group to the workspace, so when you add a event etc, all can see it.

Just some quick thoughts.

Thanks

Yeah, the other thread http://forums.fengoffice.com/index.php?topic=3566.0 has what I need.

I'll drop in some results very soon.

Ahh cool.

Probably assuming things are simple ;)

Ok, I will have a look at the other tables. If I get a working interface, I will release it to the "wild". It will be very specific to Cerb to OpenGoo. It is a Talend file, but that software is available to download and tweak the file to your needs :)

Thanks for the help.

How To's / Re: Getting OpenGoo to save drafts, sent emails on IMAP server
« on: November 24, 2009, 10:24:10 am »
I do believe they plan to change this, when I do not know.

To me, the mail option, is for what OpenGoo is used for when it comes to our usage... Projects. I install email IMAP accounts for handling projects, my usual business e-mail is through either my fat client or business webmail. Any support calls are sucked into our other helpdesk system. So not sure really.. Its not a bad thing, I don't use OpenGoo for standard business users. Its for handling projects and materials around them. But yes I am sure people use OpenGoo specifically for their home business page. But if that's the case, does it matter if e-mail is drawn into MySQL?

Yes it would be nice to be using IMAP folders, but for us its not a priority, for u  ;)

I guess OpenGoo devs could answer if and when this gets put in :)

Hi,

I thought e-mails are downloaded from IMAP, drafts are not saved to IMAP. Its almost like a POP3 implementation. OpenGoo downloads IMAP e-mails, stores them in the OpenGoo side, leaving IMAP alone.

I could be wrong, but I am sure that is how its implemented.

Hi,

here the same issue. Lets say I decide to use opengoo just for a project and want to move the email away, how to get the sent email back to the server?

Cannot see another table. I am guessing it must be a default value set in the table. Which file has the select for the tasks screen?

Hi,

I am running a interface from Cerberus Helpdesk Software to create tasks in OpenGoo. I think I may be making a mistake on what is inserted into the DB when a new task is created. I have the table og_project_tasks. I am creating the correct values for a new task. Basically using the same default values as a new inserted unassigned task from the system. Are there any other tables I need to be looking at, as I cannot see the tasks within OpenGoo itself.

I am using this interface to handle large projects or service contracts. I create a flagged task within Cerberus, either from a e-mail or create a new service request. The flagged tasks are converted across to record time, attach documents and other materials together, something Cerberus does not do well. Basically if I have to convert a request into a task, that requires a "project", it gets put into OpenGoo... :)

Any one have any ideas?

Cheers

Not looked at the data structure for either, but a data link between the two, should be fairly easy. I could write one and have it in Java, as a scheduled task.
