Feng Office 2 / upgrading not working
« on: November 06, 2014, 04:41:01 pm »
hello, I'm upgradinging from 2.6.1 to a higher version (2.6.3 or a 2.7.x version)

the problem is: when running the upgrade script I get "upgrading form 2.5.1.5"  and NOT 2.6.1 which is the previsously (or still presently) installed version.

what do I have to chance in the DB or at file level to get the 2.6.1 in the FROM-field instead the 2.5.1.5 version?

Thanks for any help

Feng Office 2 / Re: 500: Internal server error

Having the same problem.

I´m on a shared server, with 2.6.1 did not have problems, upgrading to 2.7.6.1 and I get the  500: Internal server error all the time.

franponce87 says it is related to problems of the apache server: well I do not think upgrading FO will influence the configuration of the apache server, so I suppose there is something wrong with the upgrade.

Some ideas what it could be?

Feng Office 2 / Re: Error in 1.7.5 to 2.0 upgrade
« on: March 13, 2013, 03:23:01 pm »
Hello.

I just (almost!) upgraded form 1.7.5. to 2.2.3.1, but I'm stucked at one point.

I followed the instructions step by step given at  fengoffice. com/ web/wiki/doku. php /installation:migration#upgrading_from_1x_to_2x.

My first problem was, that the prefix of my DB-tables already were "fo_".  This comes from some instalation of a 1.7.x version of FEngOffice, where I spontanously decided to name the prfix like this.

So, the solution was to rename the prefix first with MYphpAdmin.

So I renamed them to (let's say) "ofo_" (to start with).

With the update procedure new tables with the "fo_" prefix  were generated.

When I arrive to point Nr. 8 of the update instructions, (running complete_migration.php) I have the following problems.

My server provider does not allow "sh" crons. So I cannot carry out the proposed run_complete_migration.sh script.

I can only carry out http/:[something]/[filename].php crons.

So, just to check, I carried out complete_migration.php from my browser window.

I get the message:

Code: [Select]
You already have upgraded to the latest possible version: 2.2.3.1

Execution of 'Fill searchable objects and sharing table' completed.

The thing now is, that at a DB level nothing changes. At least I do not detect any changes. Opening the new FengOffice, I just see a fresh installation.

So my questions are:
What do I have to do, to finish the migration process?
How does the complete_migration.php routine take care of the new prefix of the old tables (I did try to rename them to "og_", but no change in the behavior).

Can someone help me on this?

Thanks
Patrick

each time tmp-files are created, but the tmp directory is not cleared.

[ich kopiere hier mal nen text, den ich schon an einer anderen stelle gepostet habe, allerdings auf englisch]

Hello,

I have the contrary problem...

The cron jpby creates tmp-files in the tmp-dir several times a day (well as many times as cron is runned) - probably by checking mails - but does not delete the files afterwords. at the end of the day I hace almost 2Gb files in the tmp folder.

why aren't the tmp files deleted....

i have the impression, that the clear_tmp_folder function in cron_functions.php is not really runned, Why?

Please, can someone help me with this one?

Cheers

Ideas / Pin Taks listet under TIME
« on: January 06, 2011, 07:11:29 pm »
Hello!

I hope I'm not repeating myself with this idea.

I find the funcionality of the task list under the menu TIME perfect. Well almost. :-)

I think, it should be possible to pin the tasks there, so that when you choose STOP of a task ( and not just PAUSE), the taks remains there for teh next day or later on. With this funcionality, one qould avoid searching  every time the taks in sometimes quite complex taks structures.

I would be glad to se this feature in some next version.

Cheers

How To's / Number of maximal received mails (seems to be) is limited ?
« on: November 15, 2010, 05:07:45 am »
Hello, I have the following Problem:

Due to some reason FO stops receiving E-Mails from one day to another (maybe by surpassing a certain number of Mails in the system ?!)

Everything was working fine, but than, mails stoped beeing loaded into FO, although they are on the mailservers mailbox.

This can be also observed for instance by setting up an new E-Mail account in FO which has already a great number of mails in the servers mailbox: a certain number of the mails (starting by the older one) are loaded in FO, the remaining ones not.

I'm using a google E-mail account set up under GoogleApps. I have almost the feeling, that there is some problem there, but I really canno figure out what.

Anyhow: has someone had the same experience?
did he or her find a solution?
Cheers

I'm also for this implementation, since it is important for our use of FO.

well, thank you for the idea, i would have thought of that myself, but:
1. does feng office have spam rules? cause I do only use fengoffice for those mails, and even adding the rules in thunderbird do not prevent them form arriving at fengoffice

2. i do not want to add another rule for each new event with invitation i create.

that's all

but thank you for the idea anyhow, i think i will have to add some filter on the spanservice of our server provider

i deleted the event now, but the notifications, that the user accepted the invitation, do not stop arriving as e-mails....

how can i 'hardcore' terminate this

:-)
cheers
